I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Thanks Marmite. On to the glossing today. I HATE painting so much! Looking forward to having it done!

Todays lunch will be sushi bowls.
  • Hi all! Can I jump in?

I'm a little late but buying lunch (and even breakfast) at work, or out and about, five days a week is one of the main drains on my finances. I could definitely do with some inspiration and a kick up the bum from this challenge!

There are 14 more work days this month and I'd like to take my lunch in 10 times. Next month I might try and cut back on breakfast too... but baby steps!

    Lunch and breakfast- wow!

You're going to see such a difference. :money:

This really is such a great challenge. :)

WTBSE I hate painting too, cause it never looks good with me.

Lunch today:some crispbreads, cheese, marmite, jam and banana. Not all together,I hasten to add!

I hope so! It always seems like such a small amount until you add it up for the week. I daren't think about how much I spend on the two each month. :o

Just as well we've got some smelling salts lying around. ;)

So much of what people buy are marked up so much:sandwiches,drinks......

The challenge takes a bit of organisation, but it's worth it.

    Ok,this is a bit cheeky,but I run a great MSE challenge called
The No Spend Day Challenge. You're more than welcome to join if you want.
The rules are simple:you decide what they are,and you can have allowed spends of course! :T

Anyway,I'm always on the lookout for newbies... :o

That sounds like an excellent idea! Heading on over now. :D Bringing in lunches will be a big challenge but I like the idea of having some NSDs as they will kill the temptation to fritter away on snacks and bits and pieces.

Some NSDers have a treats fund, which is a great idea:you can still buy the odd trashy magazine, nail polish, chocolate bar,whatever...but once it's gone,it's gone.
Leaving your cards at home/going out just with cash is a great idea too.The list goes on and on....

It's true though. It's so easy nowadays to fritter money away.

    ETA sorry WTBSE,barging in here.

Ooh that sounds delicious! I've made chilli and rice for the next few days but I'll be hunting down a recipe for chicken and potato casserole to add to the lunch line up.
  • First day for me! I had pasta bake for lunch and even brought in snacks for the afternoon so didn't buy breakfast or extras at all. Good start! :D
