Got iPhone wet on holiday. Need proof of damage

I need to pay excess of £120 and can only claim up to £100 per item. Feel like it's a lot of hard work with no guarantee of getting anything.

If you don't want the phone how about just sending it to the insurer. They can have it repair it if they like, replace it with a refurb or give you it's value in cash less the excess.
