So absolutely nothing to do with Steven Sinofsky (the fall guy) being responsible for the worst and most illogical fisher pricesque GUI in ergonomic history ?
Please stop repeating boring descriptions to make it sound clever. You missed out 'Duplo' amongst other tiresome words. Just as silly as 'Windoze' and 'M$'
If you didn't like it, fine you were never forced to use it or endure it.
The discussion is now a bit mute as it's so yesterday...:p

MS money will not work with W10, without a reg fix,
otherwise all works fine on our recent W8.1 laptop.
Haven't tried the reg fix, so still have the old pc on W7 with MS money loaded.
    :(

  • Well I finally took the plunge yesterday got fed up of the nagging to do it so I went for it and installed fine phew . Can not see much difference to Windows 8.1 except charms have gone ..will give it a few weeks to see how I get on? but you do get the option to go back to 8.1 for a month after installing 10 so that's good news.

Almost all the people I know from work have upgraded without any issues. The majority of people I know outside of work (less tech savvy) have upgraded without issues.

Updated to it on my GF's laptop which is old and only has 3GB RAM and a mechanical hard drive. It ran like a pile of crap even with a fresh clean install of Windows 7.

The machine is never going to be great, with with Win10 it is actually usable again! I had to put StartIsBack++ on there because she didn't get on with the new start menu, and that menu ran quite poorly, but other than that no issues. She doesn't keep nicking my laptop any more, now that hers is usable.
