How do you know they will admit liability? A bit grass doesn't make them guilty and considering you have no witnesses then I wouldn't be holding my breath if I were you.0

It needs to go through your insurance anyway, so let your insurance deal with the college's insurance people.
This way you will get the work done immediately, can drive your car safely again, and hopefully your insurer will be able to claim.
This is the whole point of having insurance.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I guess it means let your OLD insurers know? (OP has changed insurers since the event).0

The area is covered by cctv cameras , it's a bit obvious what happened grass uncut before on return grass cut and all over my car.
With the insurance I have changed policies now and am insured with a different company to who I was with at the time can I still claim through the old company?0 -
What you need to bare in mind is the car park may be a park at your own discretion and we are not responsible for any damage caused whilst parked here scenario and if so it is an insurance job or you pay it out, Failing this then look at cctv if you are allowed and see if you can actually see the damage happening.
If its is a council contractor and can be seen then you can seek to claim from the Company or private contractor in question.0 -
Thanks, I think the best thing for me to do is seek legal advice. To know exactly where I stand, I'm with the union with work and I believe they offer free legal advice for work and non work related matters.
Thanks everyone for your help, il let you know the outcome0 -
Bit late now asking to see CCTV as the "incident" happened in May.!
You should have been asking these questions long ago particularly before you changed insurers.0 -

And both insurance companies are aware of this matter so nothing can come back and bite you.0
