Simplicity from O2

Customer service calls from your mobile are free whether you got it online or in the store.
Customer service calls from your handset on simplicty 02 online are NOT free. If you know a number I can get free CS on from my handset, please post it here. You simply can't get through on the normal free numbers (100, 202 etc) without hitting a recorded message telling you to redial 0870. I even went into an O2 store in London to ask the staff there. They said it's only free if you buy instore, eg 200min 200txt for £15. If you want 200min 400txt for £15, (the online deal) you'll have to pay 20p/min to call 0870 CS. I waited for 20 mins to get through this morning, although I used an 0800 from landline.
It's also impossible to change from online to "normal" simplicity, which is a pain if I upgrade to £20 month for the extra minutes as 1000txts is way too much and I'd rather have free CS and 500txt.
I wish they'd have made this clear when I signed up online instead of instore, rather than just pushing the double texts bit.0 -
If you look on the o2 website under the simplicity tariffs and click on view details it clearly states telephone customer service- Free from your o2 mobile. Under the contact us tab it also states...pay monthly customers call 0870 600 3009. Calls from your o2 mobile are free.

There must be something built into the o2 billing system not to charge you for dialling this 0870 number.0 -
In that case I'll give it a go and see if I get billed. If CS is free on this number as the website says then I've been told a load of rubbish by the people I spoke to in the 02 store on Oxford St in London. Maye they say that to put people off buying online instead of instore, for commission reasons.0

Simplicity tariffs are billed by the minute.
Please can someone with the Simplicity tariff clarify that a whole minute is not deducted from the tariff for calls less than a minute? i.e. if I was to call a number and it went to voicemail for 5 seconds would O2 reduce a whole minute of my allowance? That's what the above seem to indicate.
However, on the O2 T&C for Online Pay Monthly:- Unless otherwise stated, call prices include VAT, are quoted by the minute, and are charged in one second increments. Each call is charged excluding VAT and then rounded-up to the nearest penny. VAT is then added to the total of all charges on your bill.
- Minimum call charge is 5p for calls forming part of your inclusive allowance.
I was thinking of going on the Leisure 15 tariff.0
