Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Natty for last week's thread

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks for the thread work NATTY and BOSSY

Well, technically, I'm back for the foreseeable. My p/t contract, which, when added to my 0.6 contract took me to full time finishes this month.
And boy does the house need it; I really have slackened off these past few weeks keeping up with essentials; I even have an ironing pile:eek: and I haven't washed today! I have, however, made a start on the fridge. That was  too, as a spill I thought I had dealt with clearly hadn't been thoroughly dealt with. So both veg boxes and two shelves have been removed, and washed; one shelf is soaking in the sink as the plastic edges seem not to be removable and have sinister brown marks (has vague memories of a jar of olives tipping over and leaking) where I cannot get at them.
I am, however, going into work tomorrow to prep the classroom for Sept (well to continue) but my job share is also coming in as are two (now retired) colleagues - so should be a case of many hands make light work and all that.

Thanks for the new thread! ;)

I'm hoping to be in tomorrow but today has been a poorly day. Think it may have been vertigo. The boys were a bit under the weather yesterday so I don't know if I've caught something off them but every time I moved or tried to get up the room was spinning and I felt violently sick. So have been in bed and on sofa all day sleeping on and off. Have tried to eat but have struggled. I googled about it on line and a day of rest seems to be enough to clear I t up so I am hopeful I can crack on tomorrow.

I had the Morning on my own with kids and that was hard work so having them all day when I can't do anything will be unbearable.
Anyway fingers crossed for a full recovery!

Mmm- it must ge so awful having your OH I'd hospital and so far away, while trying to juggle all your other commitments. Sending coping vibes your way.

See you all in the morning as I am off to try and get a full nights sleep!

Thanks Natty and Bossy Brilliant flying and fitness/eating week this week (until today!) Eaten far too much chocolate and didn't do any exercise over the weekend. Unless you count a renewed interest in Hestering since I'm sober:o

I can't currently see the floor in the living room as I have all the stuff for sale laid out for photographing. Made £40 already from putting things on our local selling board.

This week lots of exercising, flying and eating well.

I'm off to de-clutter the dining room table.:D

Thank you for last week's thread Natty, and for this week's Bossy. I'm in, tidying, sorting and following the bits of the lists that I can deal with. The dog is going to be flown for the first time tomorrow, so fingers cross for Kelpie and the lovely groomer, Karen.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all

Thank you for the lists this week Bossy and Natty for last week's.

I'm in again this week but won't be in properly until Wednesday afternoon as that's when I finish work.

My mission this week is to find someone who can fit my new kitchen. Was using !kea approved installer but then they added £1200 to the installation bill I'd already paid which made it a ridiculous amount to fit such a small kitchen. Oh well.

    Have a good week all

Thanks to Bossy and Natty for the threads xxx

I'm in for the week although I can see tomorrow being a write off. DGS here and he'll not be going home till about 6 or 7 tomorrow night. Can I hand in a note to be excused ?;):p

I'm doing some WM and TD as DGS is sound asleep and we were far too busy playing earlier :D

Evening all - I'll try my very best for tomorrow but I'm on the return epic train journey to deliver the skids back into the clutches of their charming mother. Only a round trip of 8 hours for me, but no doubt there will be something to complain about (probably me).

Then parents visiting for a few days, arriving shortly after I return...:exclamati
