I have heard the news as well, I know I don't know the full story, but who lets a 8 year old walk 2 miles on their own................sad very sad
Tip run done, more junk gone
2 items have bids on ebay.
Chatted to neighbour, he tells me he may go and visit my adopted grand son & family else where in the world.......which will do him good, he now seems to be over the worse of his wife's / my lovely next neighobur's death...........we stood by her rose, and had this chat.......'you know Kaz she would want me to travel, it has been over 2 years'........and you know what I agree with him. If he does go, he won't as such be on his own, as my family out there will look after him, take him out, etc.
Eye test done, it seems there is no major chages which is good as being type 2 there can be.
Done loads of little stuff
Changed tariff on gas / elec as it seems I can save £29 per year, so all good, for doing very little.
Washing dry and folded.

A bit of a multi-tasking, rushing around day so I hope it contributes to fitness. Got on scales first thing; bad but not as bad as sometimes.
- did 5 mins on mini trampoline and a minute of plank just to start the day
- after lengthy discussion with my mum and loads more on internet, we have booked a holiday together for Sept.
- booked car in for service
- booked car in for MOT. As I left it so late (31st due), had to be different garage from where it's being serviced as they can't fit it in.
- tried to get car tax but won't go through until MOT done
- tried in vain to get some sense out of holiday company and gov. web site as to whether I need to panic and renew my passport before hol (Sept; passport expires end Nov). No sense from them so have paid and downloaded forms. Panic anyway tho web site says 3 weeks to renew and there is 6 weeks to go.
- haven't done whole bathroom(s) but cleaned sink, wiped surfaces, put anything away that shouldn't be in there and folded clean towels.
- am making progress with one report; determined to finish it today. Had hoped to start on second one today.
So not feeling quite as stressed; more annoyed that most of stress is self-induced i.e. not noticing MOT date etc. I hadn't renewed passport as curiously, some of the B&b in Scotland stated they wanted one. Of course once there, nobody asked. I could have probably sent it off and got it back by now if I hadn't taken it to Scotland. Did consider paying extra for quick passport processing, but you have to make an appt and go to London and I don't think things are that desperate. Fingers xx.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Afternoon all and a warm welcome to Mrs Pepperpot and TattyG :hello:
Still November here but trying to ignore it.
FBO - well done and keep it up
CY - hope you feeling okay today
Frizzle - glad to hear you feeling a bit better
Valli - tax credits reminder as requested
Just going to declutter a cuppa as I've mopped myself out of the bathroom and kitchen and waiting for them to dry
Had a flying start today and done the list so had a quick swipe around the kitchen as well.
Am making a roast dinner today as DH didn't want one yesterday and fancied baked pasta instead, so I'll get that all prepped when the floor's dry and then tackle a bit of paperwork.
I am definitely feeling more positive today and hope it lasts the week. Am going to horsepital the morrow for my second physio and pleased it seems to be going well so far, fingers xd.

Flying off-piste again (ok, what else is new?)
The Westies are very time-consuming as they need to be walked separately - Corrie is a very elderly little gentleman, and can only do 5 minutes or so, or a little more on a good day, and Fingal needs a good l-o-n-g walk, suitable for a fit and feisty seven-year-old.:o Not a problem at all, but it does mean I don't have so much time for other things.;)
MMM here's hoping your DH is home soon; I know how worried you must be. x
Welcome MrsPepperpot and TattyG.
GWS wishes for all who need them - Frizzle take care hun, I've had that and it's 'orrible. Rest up as much as you need til you're properly right, and call the GP if it doesn't sort itself pronto.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all x
Granny Funfair is shattered. DGS decided to wake up at 11pm and thought it was play time! He eventually fell over at 1.30am and was wide awake at 5.30am. He's now sleeping and I'm like a half shut knife.
I have only managed 2x wm and td and washing up. I've been such a lazy moo I even took DD to the play area today for breakfast.:oI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Kelpie has been flown and behaved beautifully. Karen the groomer loves him to bits already and he looks as smart as a tack. Fab outcome.
Instead of doing all the flying at home I had in mind this morning I spent the entire time drinking coffee and chatting with the newish neighbour who has a fortnight off work to use up her A/L so she doesn't lose it, but without her husband. I like her a lot and she's the one that walks Kelpie pretty much every day so it's good to chew the fat and get to know each other I think.
My office looks as though a bomb's hit it, and it and the occasional lodger will need to be in there later this week, so hey ho, that's another pitchfork job.
Lovely to see new people joining every week and posting. Very encouraging.Better is good enough.0
