Got to write demanding for PAC, leave a week for double paid plan on two networks(old and new) for number transfer and obviously issue notice of contract termination as IE:
What a rubbish letter/advice. Complete nonsense and factually incorrect. Asking for a PAC negates any notice to terminate - it seems you not only have an awful grasp of basic English but (like many) don't actually know how anything works.
If I worked for a network and received a letter like that I'd pass it round the office to see who stop themselves falling off their chair laughing.0 -
You must be getting laughed at ocasionally, for being analy correct at times, no?mobilejunkie wrote: »What a rubbish letter/advice. Complete nonsense and factually incorrect. Read again
1- PAC
2- termination
= (result) done with network
wouldn't be over with you though, you'd end up with a bit of abuse hauled at
Based on your "expertise" in grammar, cancellation of 30 Day contract would be 60 days affair :eek:0 -

I am yet to see T&C saying this.
Not that I advocate sending a letter, but if it was sent and the contract wasn't terminated in 30 days (regardless of PAC used or not), the network won't have a leg to stand on unless the T&C say that the contract can't be terminated by a letter.0 -

I pay £10 per month and get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data. If I stay with Virgin and double the data it will go up to £12. Giff Gaff will give me 3GB for £12 and the People's network will give me 4GB for £11.99 and the first two months at £5.99 a month.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I cancelled my 30 day SIM only plan with Virgin two weeks ago. They gave the PAC code out and told me the account would be closed in 30 days - whether or not I used the PAC.
One thing I noticed that you might want to also check, is that if I log on to the Virgin mobile account website, now and go to Plan and device | Change my tariff - it gives an error - before cancelling it would show all the tariffs.0 -

Just tried that and it came up with a message asking me to call them, which I obviously don't intend to do!
I'm inclined to wait until a bit closer to the 30 day notice expiry date before moving, although not too close to the date, in case there's any hold up.
Does anyone know what happens if you move part of the way through a charging period? My allowances are 'refreshed' on the 1st of each month. What happens if I port my number mid month? Would I be OK and not liable for any further charges as long as I haven't used more than half of my allowances?3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
You have to pay for the next 30 days after getting the PAC. As you get charged for a billing month in advance, these 30 days are partly covered by your last bill. For the remainder you'll get charged pro-rata and, most likely the allowances are applied pro-rata as well.0
