But now you do and have done for some time, yet you are still dealing with them.....

Purely as we've not long had our docs back, both work full time and have not had a chance to sort anything out yet, if the appeal is also declined then they will no longer be dealt with.

We are also going to be raising a complaint with his parent company 'PI Financial'

    Little update on this!!!

Had an email from the broker this morning stating that the underwriters had been on the phone and the application was back on track, they just need to forward proof of deposit.

They have also instructed for the valuation to go ahead.

So hopefully good news, but I'm still slightly optimistic.

For anyone who may be interested, after we took ownership of the situation ourselves (still have to pay the broker though!!) everything went through fairly quickly.

We got the keys to our first home on Friday!!

I just read everything from start to finish in 15 minutes :money::money:

Glad you got the house - but why does the broker need to be paid? I thought they get paid by the bank and judging by his incompetency at his job, he shouldn't be paid even in beer!

    Sorry for another late reply!

After a complaint to his parent company, we've had our cheque for payment to the broker returned, along with a letter stating it was a good will gesture as they believe they did nothing wrong.

No doubt he got paid by the lender anyway, but at least we're not out of pocket.
