Good luck and look forward to hearing your news.

I had to chuckle at Jojos comment about you balancing books while in labour.

    Hi all!

A very quick update from me, and I'm not even going to pretend I am caught up on everyone's diaries because I am far too busy staring at my beautiful boy!!

He was born on Tuesday, after a 24 hour labour. There were some complications and although he was born vaginally, I ended up in theatre for a complicated repair from some damage. I can honestly say though, it was worth every single second and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Some of the things I was petrified of ended up happening, and apart from a minor freak out I coped very well I think (not biased at all :o)

Came home on Wednesday night at 9PM - postnatal care was awful and I have never been so glad to be home! Donut is perfect, amazing, beautiful and all those other words that can't come close to describing my boy

Can you believe I have not even looked at my spreadsheet since Sunday  I'm off to balance it whilst the baby naps so I don't have to think about it again for a few days - who'd have thought I'd be wanting to take time away from spreadsheet updating?!

Thanks for the messages whilst I was AWOL - much appreciated :D xx

Fab news! Congratulations on your little guy arriving safely into the world!

I knew you wouldn't be away from those spreadsheets for long :)

Sorry it was a bit of a rough labour (I had two of those for various reasons) but you're right, it's so easy to look at that little face and all the pain just melts away.

Enjoy the first few days of family time!

    Well done Kirsty! :j:j:beer:

It's amazing what you can cope with when you have to, even when you don't think you can beforehand. :T Having a baby can be very self-affirming - if you can go through that you can go through anything & the prize at the end is well worth it. :j

Enjoy cuddling the wee one & getting to know him. Sorry to hear the postnatal care wasn't great but at least you didn't have to stay in long. Hope your recovery goes smoothly.

Fantastic news and wonderful to hear your little one is safely here. Sorry about the rough labour and poor postnatal care and I am sorry to say but this seems to be more and more common now. You will soon forget all this though. Enjoy your boy.
