A relevant appeal will make it look better for you should it somehow get to court, as you can use it to show them being unreasonable and get your expenses back from them.
But you're deluding yourself if you think it matters to the PPC; they'd reject any appeal you sent in, because they've got incentive to do so.
I have to disagree. The initial appeal to the PPC is rarely read and points raised specifically are never answered thus highlighting the template reply from the PPC. The more ridiculous the appeal the easier it is to prove that the PPC appeal system is not real.
One of my appeals was no more than "Ha ha - swivel PPC" - strangely I got a template reply suggesting that my appeal mentioned signage, GPEOL and contracts. I didn't mention any such thing."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Hi there
I have now received a reply rejecting my appeal. I am writing back asking them....
Dear Appeals Team
With reference to your letter dated 28 July rejecting the appeal:
- Please address all of the points made on the appeal rather than a template response.
- Please provide a VAT invoice
- Refer to an ADR - the appellant is keen to refer the case to independent arbitration on condition that the ADR service meets the criteria laid down in Schedule 3 of The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015.
Is there anything I should expand on or add?
Does their letter replace the NtK or should I still also receive an NtK separately in the post?0 -
PS I can put up an image of the letter I received from them if needed? Let me know?0
