Voicemail icon on Samsung S3

I've recently got a Samsung S3, just figured out how to retrieve answerphone messages
however, the reason I didn't realise I had answerphone message was because I don't know what the answerphone icon is.
On a previous mobile, missed calls indicated I had an answerphone message, why doesn't the S3 do the same, or, is there an answerphone icon on the home screen I'm not aware of?

if that's the case- give the phone to teenager, buy £20 worth buttoned one, those aren't as lethal

It would appear to be on the pull down notification menu.

But you could be a lot younger than many of the knowledgeable guys and gals on here . Age has nothing to do with it .0 -

Do you have a spool symbol on your home screen?
Yes, top left handside0 -
If you have the spool symbol, that means that someone has left you a voicemail.
Go to your dial pad and long press button 1, this should dial your voicemail service.0 -
Try 1 as Tony suggests.
If that doesn't work, then Google your network's voicemail number - it's usually something like 123, 121 or 901This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
