Transfer of photo's, now and in the future.

Options
Following a long period of problems, I transferred all my photo's to Google + and carried out a factory reset and this is fine. Yesterday having taken photo's with my camera, by cable transferred them to my laptop where they reside in My Pictures and Windows Photo Gallery.

Ideally I would like this and subsequent batches, to go to Google +.

My aim is to avoid making errors which might result in problems so if someone could advise an easy "click" to ensure this comes about, I'd be happy, thanks.

...and acquire a separate storage device of your own, whether that's memory card, USB stick, or USB hard drive - as long as the capacity is greater than the size of your existing photo library, with room for expansion.

Each of your photos exists as a file within My Pictures. Simply copy/paste all these files to your external storage. You don't need additional software to do this, the copy/paste is all built in.

OK, I have done what I wanted thanks to patient exploring of the google+ page where I could upload from wherever.

As for Picasa, I have used it for more years than I care to remember and liked the ease at which changes could be made, but it went when I embarked on the factory reset and thought I'd take on google+.

Who knows, if google+ fails to live up to picasa, I may return. Thanks anyway.

    thank you photodgm

On checking my system I am using the new 'Google photos'. seems to have taken over from Google+ automatically.

As long as it works I don't care what they call it
be it 'PicasWeb', ''Google+' or the 3rd incarnation & latest 'Google photos'

am using Windows PC(Picasa) and Android phone & tablet(google photos)

There is a word I'm tempted to use and it begins with "s" !

just when I had achieved (for me) the impossible, the factory reset and got my head round windows on my laptop, iOS on my ipad and my recent acquisition, a smart phone running android, you walk in and tell me that.

So where do I go from here I ask myself. Ideally I suppose it should be something compatible with all three that stores in the cloud, to avoid filling the hard drive. Maybe you'd like to advise please.

Is not 'Google photos' available for your ipad from the Apple store?
