Vanquis CC - balance transfer OUT

Hi,

Decided to take advantage of my new Tesco Balance Transfer CC and transfer the remainder of my Vanquis credit limit out to it.

I balance transferred my Natwest CC to it and that has gone through but the Vanquis one hasn't (2 working days have passed and Tesco state that is the usual lead time).

I've googled a bit and there are conflicting reports that Vanquis do not allow it yet others report success.

Can anyone here shed any light? I guess waiting a few more days would be wise before I get concerned?

If they do reject it, do I have any recourse via ombudsman?

    Had a quick read of those threads.....

    Bit of a worry now because I may be going over my CC limit on the vanquis card because a monthly payment was in process when I did the BT. Apparently that is a major issue for Vanquis :(

    I've just quickly paid for something in excess of the over-the-limit amount so hopefully that solves that issue :(

    Looks like confusion has set in here: When you balance transfer you don't actually move the balance to another card as such. You give the details of tlhe card you want to pay to the balance transfer card and they make a payment usually by BACS. There is no agreement with the card being paid and none required.


    I took advantage of a BT offer from Aqua to pay off the balance of my Vanquis card at 6.5% APR for 6 months which was done without any problems at all.
  • Looks like I had no reason to worry - the BT went through at midnight tonight.

    Must learn patience.
