    Hello GG

Thank you for taking the time to reply, yes things are coming together. I have a list pages long of things we need to do between now and the big move. Trying to get the timing right on something's will be a challenge because we don't know the exact date of the move don't want to tell the sofas and end up sitting on the floor for months on end!

To be honest empty houses are on my worry list but I am hoping to minimise impact by putting a little bit a side each month and trying to only use the saving as a last resort. I am prepared to have very frugal months if the situation arises. We think our current tenants in our BTL are keepers for a few years at least. Their DD is just about to start school and they are very settled, and great tenants.
I am hoping we get tenants in house 1 for at least a year straight off, we can only but hope!

Just about to go in loft and sort out what we can sell at car boot Saturday.....well just about to send DH up there I will stand at the top of the stairs and supervise!!

    Best wishes

First car boot for sometime completed, was a real struggle to get up at 6am I am not a morning person! Home by 12:30 so DH could watch the football. Made £63 we were giving things away just so we could get rid of it. But as DH said is £63 more then we started with and we now have less junk in the house!! DH agreed to do another car boot next week with me ( weather permitting).
Going out with friends tonight for dinner so the £63 might not make the FIRE pot, will try really hard not to spend it all...

Might have 40 winks this afternoon after such an early start.

P.S had some trouble posting some PM's over the last few days so apologies to everyone if you haven't recieved a reply from me...I don't know what has happened and what I am doing wrong. ..

We had a lovely evening with Friends, mixed feelings on the food. DH food spot on, mine was ok, friends meals were not so good, a little bland and dry. Bill was £83 ( decided not to have wine) so spilt it 50/50 with small tip it came to £45 each couple so car boot money did take a hit :( I do think something's why I am spending the money eating out when I can make far better at home for less money:p does that sound really boring and mean???
Had to go supermarket today and buy a few bits and bobs including things for DH lunches we also needed milk and bread so that was £19 intotal. So all the money we earned yesterday at the car boot has gone in 24hrs:cry: so no money in the FIRE pot as planned :( . On a positive note we paid cash last night and at the supermarket so nothing added to CC., normally I would have paid for both of these using my card... I resisted which is really good for me :)

Also popped to the garage to confirm the factory order of my car, one error found on order but still in the time window to make changes and correct the error. Not expecting delivery of car until late Oct, it's a long wait but it will be worth it....I hope:) in the mean time don't mind adding the miles to the demonstrator the garage have given us until ours is ready.

My 3month old boiler has broken:mad::mad: yes that's right 3 months old  so no hot water (thankfully we don't need heating). Rang boiler company they are coming out tomorrow to fix it. Under warranty so no cost to us.
DS1 seems to be ignoring us, tried to call and text him several times had no reply for nearly two weeks :( I have been assured this is a boy thing and he will be in touch when he needs something how true is that? :rotfl:
NSD today so far ...but en suite loo is dripping it's like Chinese torture in the dead of night and you are lying awake. DH looking at it now so may need a trip to DIY store before it shuts if he needs a part don't want another night of dripping :)

Nothing new to report on finances, very quiet no cashback due anytime soon, and have no spare money for the rest of this month to make another OP or add to the FIRE pot...that's the consequence of robbing Peter to pay Paul I guess. CC now cut off so the balance due in Sept is a third of what it was this month and we haven't used it since. We're are aiming to not use it ever again ( but will keep it for emergencies) if we can meaning Oct will be the first ever month we won't have a CC bill to pay :j:j
    Have a lovely evening everyone

They say things come in three's..first it was the boiler, then the dripping loo, NOW we have a leaking shower in ensuite:mad::mad: DH is going to look at it tonight. Dripping loo is a sore point in our house:p after some cross words between DH and I (ok more me moaning that it wasn't fixed) DH tried to fix it last night, 2 hours later and lots of banging it still isn't fixed!!! The dripping has stopped but it won't flush now :( something to do will ball co@k!! ;) Shower or loo which one will DH tackle first tonight I wonder ?? :p I think I will stay out of the way ;)

Now I have decided I will finish work in the next round of redundancies my enthusisum for the job has totally gone, got to keep motivated as I still have a few months to go at least, no whispers of redundancies yet but I expect something in September, well that's been the month announcements have been made in the last few years, with my luck lately an announcement may never happen:(
Some news on DS1 ...yes it is confirmed he is still alive, not spoken to him but spoke to his GF last night. Although she is working in another country at the moment she does speak to him everyday she says he is fine just working really hard and doing lots of hours so not doing much more than working and sleeping. It would be nice if he could spare 5mins to pick up the phone but maybe I am asking too much :rotfl: boys! The industry he works in is long hours but can be very rewarding. I am so proud of him even though he never calls me!
Had a sneak look at our investments this morning (something I try not to do regularly) wish I hadnt!!! :(:( it's not good reading it will bounce back I am sure.
Enjoy the last day of sunshine the rain is coming apparently :(:(

:j:j Managed to reduce my mobile phone bill to £5pm on a monthly contract I was only paying £16 before but £11 is much better in my pocket than someone else's :j I think I will increase my OP SO by this amount instead of adding it to my FIRE pot. I plan to go onto PAYG when I finish work as we will be aboard so won't use as much. :j

Tried to reduce my Sk@ bill too but must have caught them on a bad day Martin's advice didn't work for me today:( :( if it wasn't for the sport we wouldn't have it so will have to continue to pay for awhile longer, just wish I could have paid less;)

:j:j:j:j DS1 has phoned home!:T:T:T:T he is fine he couldn't understand why I was so concerned that I hadn't spoken to him for a few weeks! He tells me he and GF have booked a last minute AI holiday he goes next week. So pleased he has booked something the relaxation will do him good. :)

DH is upstairs attempting again to fix the loo then he will move on to the shower DS2 has popped round for dinner so he and I are staying well out of the way!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

    :j:j its refund day today:j:j

Rang our utility supplier this morning and requested a refund as our account is in credit by too much in my opinion £110 refund on its way to my bank :T:T

Also received a cheque for £90 from DVLA for car tax refund as broken car now belongs to the garage :T

Not sure if the £200 will be used for an OP or go into FIRE pot...or a bit of both, I am undecided :D
