You use the paper to wipe your !!!! and by the same token you can use more paper to wipe the toilet bowl...........it's not rocket science......remember,it's your contaminated water in the pan,and after flushing once, the water is clean,so a quick wipe and then wash your hands.cannot be beyond anyones capabilities.
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!

What's all this "if you hand is wrapped in toilet paper" nonsense?

I'm not talking about sawn-off toilets!

These are standard thrones with a hose next to it. Google 'toilet with hose attachment images'.

No paper required, better for the environment, and cleans up any left-overs after flushing.

Erm I'm not Muslim and I use them when in Turkey

Very hygienic, especially as you can't flush toilet paper down the loo in many resorts and have to dispose of it in the bin.

When staying in Germany years back I was amused by the loos there. They were like back to front, where as our bowls are more to the front, there's were moulded with what was like a shelf so any deposits landed on that. The etiquette I discovered was to put paper on that before pooing so the whole lot was washed away with no mess.

    No loo brush required

I'm intrigued. How did you discover this etiquette?

You will also find non-Indian's eat Indian food, its trendy for non-jewish to use kosher salt, some women wear men's shirts etc. Just because something is designed for one group doesnt mean it cannot be used by another and neither does it being used by another group not mean that its origins are from one group

There are islamic guidelines on bathroom habits that does include washing afterwards hence why you find countries with high volumes of muslims or muslim visitors have these. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_toilet_etiquette

Its the far east electronic toilets with their heated seats and automated washing (two options for females, though again guys could use the other option if they need their sack washing) that amuse me, they've been in the few Shangri La hotels and Japan Airline's lounges Ive been to.

    Thems the ones lol

omg. I came across them on a boozy weekend away. Try using one of those after a bellyful of beer and a curry :rotfl:

I'm sat there with a pile sitting inches from me and I needed to wipe... Eek

It was the conversation the following morning that taught me to lay the paper first and flush before wiping

I love the description of inspection shelf. Dad was half German and had a complete fascination with his bowel habits lol
