Why would the hotel want to leave you a cleaning tool which, by the sound of it, will end up with a generous layer of your excreta upon it, and which will remain as a health hazard to those who follow you in the room (unless the maid cleans the brush, too)?

They've supplied you with loo roll. Can you exercise your imagination to derive ways of using this, either in advance, or after the event, to either prevent soiling, or aid in a cleanup?

I would rather not have one in my hotel room. Could be alsorts on it. much better for the maid to come in and use one then take it out with them. I don't use a toilet brush daily at home, so the maid service in a hotel is better cleaning than normal!

I dont think most hotel rooms have them. At home i just pour some bleach directly into the cistern and when it has mixed, flush and then you can be sure all areas have been done..
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Toilet Brushes are revolting! Years since I used one,I have a Toilet Duck that uses disposable pads.

Why do they sell toilet brushes in this day and age?

Maybe it's my mind set but we never leave toothbrushes around when we are out of the room and the maid is due to clean.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

Ironically another forum had someone complaining not enough hotels had a toilet brushes.

Guess its just one of those things that you cannot please everyone all the time. Sometimes a flush just isn’t enough to clear the ablutions away, I guess some people think its the maids job to deal with your skidmarks where as others would rather deal with it themselves and thus a loo brush can come in handy.

Most toilets in hotels in South East Asia have a hose attachment right by the throne. That does away with the need for toilet paper, and also cleans away anything that a flush leaves behind.
