the blonde lady (Joanna Smith) has been there 2 days ago in his position in the Makadessi case , so knows what he is going through , plus is partly representing the consumers association

Don't think it's her Red - it's Julia Smith to rep for the CA.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

ok, shame the names are so close, but my point is that she is the Q.C. that was stood at the podium 2 days ago , so is involved in the Makadessi case and these ongoing arguments

I had written Julia, then changed it to Joanna due to the person sat behind John De Waal being Joanna

Lets hope someone points out that "council tickets" they drabbed on about at the other appeals are a penalty, a punishment designed to punish an offender.

Just being covered now- referring to Chelmsford council charges- i.e. £25/£50.

Glad that's been brought to their attention.

The blonde is remarkably similar to the one who Represented Cavendish

Why isn't de Waal raising the fact that if the charge was consideration it would be revenue and subject to Vat?

Think h might be about to allude to it. Seems to be laying out the grounds on contracts at moment.

Might be he's setting a trap for HMRC to trigger later .

I get the feeling the fact the Lords quizzed him from the get go he got a bit muddled, would put anyone off.

Joanna would have been loving it because shes basically on Parking Eye's side... if they can really be said to be on the same side.

Anyone with more experience of these things rate how De Waal is doing so far?
