Two retail parks in Liverpool one near Aintree Racecourse and one near John Lennon Airport were both infested by PPC's. I believe it was UKCPS. They no longer 'manage' either of these sites, and have not been replaced by anybody else.
So no restrictions or charges of any kind, and would you believe it there are always spaces available to park. So "carmageddon"? I think not.0 -
This share price will be a good indication which way its gone long before its publicly announced.

if its clear its a limit and we go over, no one else's fault but ours.
But often that time limit is against the best interests of the shoppers and the shopkeepers. It is a case of the tail wagging the dog.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Plenty of dumb ******* go back and do the same thing again.

I can assure you that PE's 'profits' contribute an absolutely insignificant amount to the Capita empires overall profits and so the share price won't be affected at all which ever way this case goes."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

I can assure you they will.
50 Million profit which will treble IMO if this goes their way as they will expand as fast as they can buy sites.
A backlog of six years court claims to be cashed up.
I think we could see over a hundred million clear profit on Capitas books and by any measure that is going to launch the share price.
When we look at who is involved, it is hard not to pull the tin foil hat on about everything, including this court case and his "free lawyers".
With parking charges set in law with no cap.
They are going to make some serious money and the small firms are going to get bought out of sites.
I can not help feel that all this is a bit too contrived not to be planned.
Capita buy PE.
Capita fight a court case to get them set at the highest court.
Capita ring up the register.
POPLA gone in October
We can only estimate the costs of a parking charge but I doubt in real terms it is much over pennies on the DVLA fee.
The actual clear profit is if we go for £5 cost to £85
1600% profit.
There is no businesses anywhere that can return a 1600% investment profit.
Not forgetting once set in Law, local councils can bring in PE on off street placements and utilise civil law and ANPR.
I know where I would be placing my share capital.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -

There will be some tweaks to the website, but it will be essentially the same service.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -

ParkingEye does not make £50M profit, more like £8M. It doesn't even turnover £50M, nowhere near in fact.
Capita's last reported turnover was £4,378,100,000.
There is not a cat in hell's chance of anything that happens to PE moving Capita's share price by more than about 0.0001%.Je suis Charlie.0 -
POPLA will still be there, it will just have a different body operating it.
