unusual delay query

No one seems to have mentioned your travel insurance, I hope you had some?
Contact them, explain the situation and I think they would help you. They may even be liable to cover this situation.0 -
retaco - these threads are for flight delays. Unlikely any insurance will cover a delay of 5 hours as most 'kick-in' when the delay is at least 12 hours if not 24 hours.
So IMO very doubtful any insurance co will even help let alone admit liability particularly as OP did not even have a confirmed BA flight.
This is probably the reason why no one has mentioned travel insurance.0 -

Just to be clear, did you have flight tickets issued by BA, or not?
I don't count paperwork from Titan to be a BA flight ticket.
As a by the by, - anyone else think that BA is now a ticketless airline? And as such, the OP therefore couldn't have had 'tickets'?0 -
just as a follow up titan have offered us £300 they are still saying we were not denied boarding. Not sure wether to accept as we we arrived at our destination airport 5 hours late due to their error.0

Each or in total? I think I would take that offer as a starting point, for negotitation. Perhaps suggest £450 and negotiate. as you may struggle to prove liabilty if it went legal. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Again as a by the by, anyone who books flights thru a TA, ensure you have full access to that airline booking online for your own peace of mind.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
