I've got a lunch out today which I think is likely to be quite expensive! Maybe I'll just have a starter, although it's a sort of End of an Era lunch so no need to scrimp I guess. Then drinks after work, again to say farewell so I'm hoping the day will be nicer than it feels right now.

I recorded a show last week which is going out today, so I get to hear my own show for the first time! I'm locked up in a room all day editing videos, so I'll get the chance to put it on without bothering anyone. I'm quite nervous about it, but will hopefully be able to make some improvement notes for myself.

I need to create a spreadsheet for all financial outcome checks. I have so many options that I think I also need a spreadsheet of outgoings for each one. For instance, if I live nearer work then I won't need to put so much aside for fares etc.

I'm so pleased Thursday is here already! It's been a slow week.

I think you should enjoy your lunch and not worry about cost within reason, so no ordering Bollinger MT :D

Your own show is a brilliant achievement. Well done. :T

I think the key to living in a city is (where possible) don't live too fare from where you work. The stress and cost of fares negate the cheaper housing on the outskirts. It's sounding like a brilliant decision :)

Have a good day MT and have a pudding too :D

No Bollinger DIA????? That was the only thing I was going to order!!! oregonian_winesmiley.gif

Although, if I can have a pudding then all is not lost! To be honest, I don't actually drink, but I am a big pudding lover!!!

I've been on the hospital radio for some time now, but have never heard myself as I've always done live shows. Today I get to listen in!! I know I'm different on this show though as it's a remedial show and so I can't brain blurt like I do in my own shows!!!

Next week I have a meeting with regards to going full time!!! To get the "inner city" property I want means that a full time wage pushes me into a better position, HOWEVER, my train of thought has left the station again and I've been thinking of other directions! I think I may need a week away in the sun to get my head around some of these options I have.

I never sound how I think I do! Hopefully you will sound how you imagine, bet its a great show so enjoy! I like the idea of many spreadsheets, will be a good kinda pros and cons list as well for the different ideas! Hope you enjoyed food out, I love a good pudding!

Hope the decorating ideas go well, its hard when you live somewhere but then need to dress it up to sell, I have been watching the Amanda Lamb program which helps folks with this task! Also best of luck with the car boots!

Thank you Jodles. I was quite happy with what I heard, based on the technicalities. My voice sound is something I hear a lot as I create the online training videos at work too.

I'm stressing about the decorating ideas as it means getting someone in to do a lot of it, and I hate having to do that. Thank you for the Amanda Lamb tip as I'll have a look on catch up for those to give me some ideas.

So much to catch up on today!!!

Our lunch out last week was nice, but I'm not good at socialising so I felt a bit uncomfortable and decided against drinks in the evening. Luckily they know me well enough here to know I'm not great in big social situations.

I had my last show with the current trainee on Friday and he bought me a beautiful card and a lovely box of chocolates!!! clap.gif
The chocolates even include coffee creams!!! My absolute favourite!!!

On Saturday I went to look at a car I liked. My car is due for new insurance and MOT, and I know it won't pass the MOT so it's time for a new one! I've got enough saved (which has never been part of my signature) and went to look at one. When I asked the best deal I could get with the price of the new car and part exchanging my one the man just turned on me! He'd already been quite patronising (although polite enough), but this was full on nasty! I stayed really calm as I was so baffled by this outburst, and knew I'd not done or said anything wrong or that needed defending, and just got up to leave and he said "you can try buying a car elsewhere, but other garages put their prices right up so they can offer a discount and they'll sell you a wreck". How odd! It made me look for reviews and he's got a storming one online, so it seems that's his tactic. Luckily I found out how bad his attitude is before I paid any money. This poor woman had to take the garage to court and he still hasn't provided the details he should have!!!

So, on Sunday I found another car that was a year younger, a better model and only costs slightly more, and went to buy that! I should be able to pick it up on Friday morning!!!! Yay! I'm SO excited!!!!

I have a meeting this afternoon regarding increasing my working hours! I'm all prepared for it though, so I'll update when I can!

Having looked at the spreadsheets of all types of financial scenarios I came up with potentially better ideas at keeping an eye on saving enough each month - which leads me nicely to ........

I've been doing lots more YNAB fiddling! I just can't leave it alone! ;) But it's generally due to having been organising my finances one way and, with YNAB, being able to organise myself differently. The main fiddling about has been due to not knowing exactly where certain amounts of money are going to be spent each month. I budget for EVERYTHING (including car parks), but tend to have to move money around during the month to sort out over and under spending. So, I now have a main category called Essential for my Direct Debits and payments I know are set each month.

Next is a Miscellaneous Main category which includes my sporadic outgoings. I've created a new sub category called "Misc Budget" and, each month I'll assign a figure to that budget and 0 to everything else. Then, as I spend on categories in that budget I can reassign as required and still get reporting on exactly where my money goes. Miscellaneous is generally for things like anniversary gifts, sponsorship money and buying books. Stuff like that. I've done the same on a social main category as I don't know at the beginning of the month how much I'll spend on cinema trips, or the theatre etc but I do want every penny to be allocated to a specific area.

Speaking of social events, I went to see Sunset Boulevard, starring Glenn Close, this week! I really enjoyed it! I was too far back to really see that it was Glenn Close, but it was still a great show!

It's the last day of my working week today as i had to work on Monday, and my discombobulated feeling has passed so that just leaves me to reintroduce the ladies for our Wednesday ..........

They look happy again, don't they? MTxx

Do love the happy girls! Great news on the car and what a lucky escape you had! Roll on friday! I am a pants painter and hate doing it, we paid a friend who is a painter to do it and I have to say though it was mates rates so not too expensive (didnt get any quotes so assume it was cheaper!) it saved me so much time and faffing definately worth the moolah in our house.

Good luck with the work hours and YNAB sounds like it is soon to be a well oiled machine!

Thanks Jodles. I really wish I knew people who can help me with decorating! I get so stressed at having strangers in, although I'm told I hide that really well!

I love all emojis, so thank you for the dancing one. I get my pics from a site called pic4ever. They have a link to use for forums so I just copy and paste that link into here.
