It is a wonderful invention and keeps me on track much better than the spreadsheet I used to run, or MS Money (which was good for a while but then stopped being supported).

It is also free for the first month, but then about £35 for the year. Perhaps something for a windfall when one comes your way :)

Hello Rosa. What did we do without YNAB? Although, if I think back a few years, I was in quite a bit of debt, so that's what I obviously did without it!!! :D

I now put aside £3 a month so that each year I already have the money. Without YNAB I'm not sure I could put aside such a small amount each month without forgetting why it's there.

Hi Jodles. I think it was a while since I had a splurge like that! It's scared me enough to hold another off for a while! MTxx

So there's lots to catch up on other than the jewellery spree!

I was back in work on Tuesday and still no announcement was made. We were told one would be made last week, but that's been postponed again too! So hopefully next week!

This weekend has been a pretty big one. Yesterday I had the electrician in so I now have working lights and a working brand new shower again!!! Yay to that!

I also had my house valued by 2 separate estate agents and both gave the exact same price which was a huge amount higher than I expected, so I'm very happy.

I spoke with my neighbour, and his instant statement was about getting a discount. So many people warned me he might, but it still surprised me. We've agreed that he can get a surveyor around this week and see what they say. I've told him I'm in no panic to move and won't be looking for a property to buy so if I'm not comfortable with the surveyor price and his subsequent offer then I'll rethink my options. I've said that in case the surveyor is a friend of his as he said a few things that makes me think he's going to push hard for a really good price. I've been shown that similar houses have had no problem selling for my value price so I don't have to sell to him.

I'm in a great position, having no mortgage and being in no panic to find another home to buy as, with all that's going on with work, I plan to rent and regroup my head for 6 months. The only thing I am considering is to buy a house to rent out, as I want to keep my financial investment but I don't want a big house. So if he really wants this house then he'll have to pay market rate.

However, the whole idea of selling up and moving has mushed my head and I'm feeling a touch overwhelmed. I think that's normal and I just need to make a plan and get to grips with what steps I need to take.

In other news, there's not too much going on. I need to keep going through my belongings and take things off to charity shops or sell them.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.
