    so was the MW increase to £7.20ph in April linked to this same bill?

    so does that mean TC claimants get to keep the TC and get a pay rise?

    we claim no benefits but my OH was looking forward to her MW increase.

    That's a good question!...:think:

    Where will they now find the money for the additional £910 p/a increase in earnings (for a full-time worker on the current NMW)

    The NMW living premium was not in this legislation. This wasn't a bill just a tax credit statutory instrument that appears every year.

    The emplyer will pay the extra and tax credits will reduce as a result still but at the old 41% taper rate.
