Problems with Homebase and Faulty Goods

I do know, but the items were purchased from Homebase, not Argos.
When people offer advice and information (as many have in this thread), the idea is that you use that information to become more informed about your "problem", not that your acknowledge but then completely ignore.
Hint: Argos and Homebase, their goods come from the same place

The sales of goods act says you're entitled to have the livery on the delivery truck changed to match the place of original purchase. For six years. Further, you're entitled to the first born child of the chief executive and those of all significant shareholders. The children also come with six year guarantees. After year six, you can get your full money back, even if there hasn't been a problem.
Homebase sounds like a place I should buy an oven from next time. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
And remember when they send the Argos (sorry homebase) van to collect the oven, they need the hob and extractor too, cause you did buy it as a package after all.0

Homebase were out of stock of the oven and it turns out there was an oven in the Argos network so HB spoke to A to ask if said could be delivered to you.
It's not like HB knew the 2 ovens were going to be faulty from the offset, its just bad luck.
I hope you get the answer you want from your letter to the MD.0 -

Totally agree, this is why I no longer do a job that requires contact with the general public!!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
You've got no chance of a full refund.
For a start if it's just the glass door that's broke, then they will more than likely replace the door. By your description the functioning of the oven isn't at fault here.
Secondly, as you've stated, the oven was part of a package, that's like trying to return a car but keeping the seats and the wheels.
You've also had 14 months of potential use from both ovens.0 -
