I think this is more accurate. you can see why they call it junk food.

KFC food is.... processed food coated in oil and fatty crap.

You want "gold standard" chicken? Then grab some raw chicken breasts, a bit of lemon juice, some spice and maybe a tiny bit of oil (but the lemon juice works well as oil at low heat). Fry for 20 minutes on low heat and you have chicken which is 100000x tastier than KFC!

KFC is processed in that they kill the chicken, coat it in herbs and spices, then fry it.

Your gold standard chicken is killed, coated in lemon juice and spice, and then fried.

    Both processed, or not.

Personally, I think the term "processed food" more properly applies to meat that contains 20% water, or products made from mechanical recovered meat.

I rarely eat KFC, but I watched the recent reality TV show and I was impressed by the quality and standard of the food. I had thought that they used cheap imported chicken reared in the worst conditions, but that's not the case.

Haha I love this phrase. Especially when you stop to think about what KFC food is.... processed food coated in oil and fatty crap.

I'm not knocking it per se, because I enjoy the occasional KFC myself, but there is nothing "gold standard" about KFC. NOTHING. It is like comparing turds, only that KFC are top turd.

    In your opinion of course.

I like KFC as do thousands of others

typical nonsense post by the OP though

It's also expensive; I prefer to cook my own chicken. Just the look of the oiks at the counter in my local KFC is enough to vanquish my appetite. My mum likes it though - it was her little treat back in the day. Not the same now, however. I will admit that I pity the chickens.

Colonel Sanders look like Rolf Harris anyway.

Haha, in fairness you are probably right because KFC food is designed to be "tastier" (and quicker) than normal chcken. It is all a trick.

I couldnt agree less. Some KFCs are horrid

KFC's are regularly inspected. Any KFC that does not hit the standard required will have one month to get up to standard. If it doesn't then the store will either be closed or much more likely the manager gets replaced.
