It's all or nothing with me and this diary :rotfl:

I've decided that it's time to up the income a little again. I followed the 'make £10 a day' type threads last year a few times and they were successful. It's February already and I've not done anything! Well, until the cash back and voucher from this evening. Will wait until they arrive though.

Dh mentioned a little overtime earlier, which should bring in an extra £50 this month. I plan to use that as an overpayment to the loan. I've looked into the survey sites a few times, but only earnt a few pennies before forgetting about them. I think I'll look into that again and see what I come up with!

I'm sure I can find a few bits and pieces to sell here too. Need to have a good rummage. Would be a good thing to go through the spare room sorting out!

    Good morning!

Ds still isn't well and didn't sleep brilliantly last night so it's going to be a quiet day of playing toys and watching cartoons. I'm doing the laundry today but washing at 30 and will use the clothes horse to dry all but one he towels (that's one thing I refuse to budge on!).

By not leaving the house, in theory having a NSD should be simple enough. It's the internet I need to watch out for!!

Going to complete at least one paying survey today. Even if it's just a few pence. I think that one of my main problems is that I'm an all or nothing person. I join 10 survey sites, try and complete as many as I can and then get fed up and stop. This time I'm going to join (or reactivate) just 1 or 2 so that I know where I am.

Ds has been in bed for the past hour catching up on some sleep. I've used the time to organise my email inbox (I don't want to think about the amount of emails that were in there!!). I've also completed a couple of surveys and contacted pinecone to see if I'm still able to complete surveys with them as I haven't completed any for a while.

Today has been a very quiet day. Off work looking after ds and will be again tomorrow. He is starting to pick up again this evening though, thankfully! I may have a few extra hours kip tonight - I'm such a worrier, and seeing him so poorly really sends me into a panic.

On a positive it has been a NSD. They don't happen often so woohoo!!
I checked my YNAB earlier and it had all messed up for some reason. The figures were all over the place, so I went back to a previous saved version which meant a few transactions over the last few days had disappeared. I hope it is all sorted now!

Had the curry again tonight with a jacket potato. Still have plenty left. Sorted it out ready to be frozen, but leaving the freezing to dh because freezers are full to the top so he can squeeze them in!!

Friday! What a week this has been. I have not left the house since last weekend between me being ill and then ds. It has meant that the car hasn't moved (no petrol used) and no quick visits to the supermarkets!! :money:

I have just bought a couple of bits from the Argos clearance online though. :o

    Total spend: £3.88 from Christmas/birthday pot :D
Bought a Thomas plaster and paint kit for ds (maybe birthday gift, may give it next week for a half term crafting activity) and some Christmas cards

Food all from stores today (though we are both picking at things all day!). Easy dinner tonight of fish fingers and chips. I've got a food shop coming tomorrow where I have added a couple of bits to make a nice a Valentines dinner (cheaper than going out). We don't buy cards/gifts for Valentines so no spending there.

Just checked my Tesco clubcard account. I save my points all year with the Christmas saver. I started last summer and had around £35 which I boosted on toys for Christmas and birthday presents mainly. I already have £42 for next Christmas. That doubles up to £84 to spend in the boost. I was aiming to have £100 by Christmas, which would double up to £200, but think I'm going to aim for more! I'm aiming for £120, which will double to £240 in the boost. I should be able to get the toys for all children we buy for from that, as well as my ds's. Woohoo!!

    Friday 12th Feb...

    Money spent: £3.88
Surveys completed: 2 or 3 I think. I've tried for quite a few more, but kept getting kicked off them!
    Money earnt: nothing today
Food: all food eaten was from stores.

today has been a very quiet day. Ds still poorly so we haven't left the house. I still haven't sorted through the freezer. Will do it tomorrow as I have a food delivery coming so ideal time.

  • Love the way that there's a bright side financially to not leaving the house when everyone is ill. Hope that it all gets sorted out and everyone is fighting fit again soon.

Every cloud and all that ;)

Awake early this morning. Ds was coughing pretty early so have been seeing to him. He is back asleep now so I have been looking at surveys. Earnt a few swag bucks but it seems I never qualify for surveys and get kicked off them after answering a few questions

Will keep plodding along. I have a food delivery coming this morning. I may pop out this afternoon into town as well as Dh is home today. Can pick up the bits I've ordered from Argos and just generally get some fresh air. I could get a few bits to get started on ds's Easter bonnet.

Just had an email to show £2.02 cash back pending from joining a survey site. It will probably take a while to become available though! Mr T delivery has been. It was around £55 which leaves £20 for next week and then it is payday. Still haven't been through the freezer. I was amazed at the pork I got from mr T though. It was 1kg for £2.50. When I ordered it, I thought it'd be half the size. Going to check when the offer finishes and may order a couple more (if I can make freezer room!!).
