    Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I paid my final payment to SC after 6 years and 8 months and it felt fantastic:j For all of us this is our ultimate goal and I just wanted to say if you are starting out on your DMP or partway through, keep going! I feel as though a huge weight has now been lifted and I can look forward to a debt-free life.

It hasn't been an easy ride and there have been obstacles along the way but in the end it has been worth the effort. I have learnt so much and my attitude to finance has totally changed for the better. I will carry those lessons with me for the rest of my life.

I want to say thank you to everyone on this thread past and present. This was my go to place in my darkest times, the advice and comfort I received here can't be measured. You all kept me sane, offered me advice, made me laugh and I have made virtual friends whom I think very fondly of:T

Here's to each and every one of you, the bubbly is flowing at Ellie Mansions today:beer: (it's Bucks Fizz really...see, very MSE:money:)

    Take care

This one is Halifax. But I also have tesco, post office and Santander that still own the debts and have defaults of same age.
Actually, only 2/6 debts have been sold on

Well....the text has come throufh. SC have set up my DMP first payment goes out in April

It is a long road ahead and I am nervous. The calls are flying from creditors ... I've been ignoring for now as I know SC have now contacted them.

Literally how I found myself here I do not know but its horrible .. £100k in debt....years and years ahead of a DMP.

Time to get smart with money. Paying £1300 per month. Hopefully over time I'll even increase....but I just hope my creditors see this is my only chace to pay them all back
