I've been sitting here feeling sorry for myself cos I've got a broken wrist and thought I would read your Blackpool thread, I am now sitting here with tears of laughter streaming down my face at Ste and the spud!

You will have to go now Spud or who knows what else he might do in his campaign lol I wouldn't worry about being shy. I used to use chatrooms a lot and often went to meets - everyone is so pleased to meet each other that you forget about being shy.

Have a look at the Travel board. There is a thread about split ticketing. If you put what you need, the fab people over there will see if they can find you a cheaper deal. I got Poole to Blackpool for £22 each way with Virgin. It's 6 hours.........I've got LOTS of CD's in my bag that I will be using to pass the hours!!! I'm also going via London (yuck) so will arrive in Blackpool bedraggled and grubby after a trip across town on the tube.

Just a quickie - there is an international beach volleyball tournament on 14/15th September....on Blackpool Prom! Free tickets available from the Tourist Info office.
