i had a targeted set of vouchers from Boots last week and in the small print at the bottom of the letter is states points not available on phone top ups, this must be new because i always top up when there are triple points.

Even though the voucher says that you'll find that it does indeed still work, I have used a number of these vouchers but I still get triple points or vouchers - whatever the offer is at the time.

    Hi MSE'ers.

I have been a loyal customer of Morrisons supermarkets for many years, and up until recently I have always used them for my fuel, as I was also a courier, I used a lot of fuel and nationwide they were among the cheapest, I also used LPG, and they are one of the biggest suppliers, so 1.5p per litre was a good saving and I liked to collect the £5 vouchers towards my shopping.

Well I wasn't earning enough as a courier, so I got a job driving for another company on wages, I also continued to fill up at morrisons but now I have a fuel card.

Imagine my delight when presenting my morrisons miles card, only to be told that I wasn't eligable for miles points any longer, it seems this is a new thing as a friend of mine, a police officer, said that everyone he new used to fill up at morrisons until recently, using the fuel cards, and getting the point and vouchers, he said most ambulance crews filled up as well.

Now morrisons have lost the loyalty of a large group of people, who for years have been loyal to them, so is it any wonder that their profits are down, loylalty works both way, I now fill up at Jet stations, and get smile points, I also buy my sandwiches there when out on the road, and my cigs, sweets, newspapers, etc, all of which previously bought at morrisons.

So Ken Morrison, if you read this by chance, get a grip, be fair, and while I'm at it get a company email address, so I can complain directly.

I have just bought an adult ticket with my Nectar points for legoland, add a free child pass with an adult, that saves us about £53.

Two free nights in the Holiday Inn from my priority club points saves us £250. Not a bad saving £300 from points collected.

We have found a bargin holiday in France.

WE decided to try and pay with reward vouchers for a ferry from the uk (Where from in uk not so important)to st malo (ideally) and if possible also car hire.

We are completely confused and can't see a good way through If we dont sort it out soon we may loose our holiday!!

We have 3742 nectar points,£63.50 in tesco vouchers and 600 air miles.

(should we and how do we convert all to air miles?!!)

    Hi,

    Can anyone help?

Seeing that from October Sainsbury's is cutting the amount of nectar points it is giving you on petrol, for 2points for ever pound spent. To 1 point for ever litre spent.

I'm now trying to work out who is offering the best deal on points on petrol.

I have Sainsburys, Tesco, and Shell close.

I think Tesco, and Shell kind of work out the same i think.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Cheers

Hi, I've only recently signed up for nectar & signed up 6 other members of my family to the same account...this is a great feature. I am thinking that Adams kids is just about the best points for £'s exchange as 1 point equals 1p. I also think they are beginning to accept points payment, i.e. swiping your card

If anyone knows any comparable/better nectar exchanges, I would also be intgerested...

We switched to EDF (used to be London Energy) earlier this year and notice from our bills that we're racking up something called "Nectar Points" each quarter; apparently, it's a loyalty bonus of 150 points per quarter. According to our latest bills, we now have 400 points per account, 800 in total, accumulated.

According to EDF, discounts for customers are:

"Pay by monthly Direct Debit for gas and electricity and you could enjoy a further annual saving of £16.80 (inc. VAT) for gas and £8.40 (inc. VAT) for electricity per year.

"If you take both gas and electricity from EDF Energy and you get a Dual Fuel discount of £8.40 (inc. VAT) a year if you pay by cash, cheque or prepayment. If you pay monthly Direct Debit, you will get a larger Dual Fuel discount of £25.20 (inc. VAT) in addition to your monthly Direct Debit discount for each fuel."

We are dual fuel customers and pay by monthly Direct Debit. So *presumably we benefit from an annual discount of £16.80 for gas and £8.40 for electricity, a total of £25.20, because we pay by monthly Direct Debit. And because we do indeed take both gas and electricity from EDF, there's a further bonus of £25.20 a year. So our annual discount totals £50.40p.

(*Presumably, because there's no indication on any of the bills received so far as to the scale of the discount).

EDF has now written to say "you can collect a further 200 Nectar points each quarter if you choose to exchange your Direct Debit discount for points."

On which basis, we assume that we will "lose" the £25.20 discount for paying by Direct Debit, but keep the £25.20 discount for being dual fuel customers.

At the moment we receive 150 points per quarter per account, so the annual total is 600 points for gas and 600 points for electricity: 1,200 points.

If we give up the Direct Debit discount, the Nectar points will rise to 350 points per account per quarter, making an annual total of 1,400 for gas and 1,400 for electricity: 2,800 Nectar points per year.

What we cannot work out is if this represents wise money saving!

Would you give up an annual discount of £25.20 in order to earn an extra 1,600 Nectar points??????

    Help!
