im confused as to what we will lose as the calculators don't include carers allowance or if a child receives dla.
I tried to pm you zagfles as you seem the person in the know but your inbox is full apparently lol.
Post your figures and I can give you the answer. Zagfles is great but there are plenty of us on here who know the figures as my previous 10 posts show.

However, if you moved from 11,200 to 7,500 in August 2015 your actual annual income for tax the year wouldn't be 7,500 that you report to tax credits it would be 4/12 x 11,200 + 8/12 x 7,500 so 8733. In that case they would base your award still on 11,200.
Edited to add - i see you are doing it with pension contributions now rather than lowering your hours. But the principle is still the same.

No matter how I look at it I am screwed over as a disabled worker. Makes me wonder why I bother. I may as well just be like the majority of disabled people and sit about all day at home doing what ever I want except gainful employment.
If I was in full health I would be working full time and wouldn't be bothering to have my income topped up with Tax Credits.
You'll find a lot of people will start moonlighting for cash in hand and the way this shower of a governement are behaving I don't blame them and wish the the the best luck in the world doing so.0 -

It is a huge cut, but don't shoot the messenger. I am only helping you understand the figures - i didn't make the policy.

Last Friday I endured a PiP appeal hearing and was awarded standard PiP. I had been hoping to put my car back on the road but apart from having to wait up to 8 weeks for any payments to come through (this nightmare has been going on since last October) it now looks like this is unlikely. I know there are lots of people worse off but I feel so worthless.0

IceQueen, can i ask for some help understanding the changes
I claim the disability element and earned £7,000 last year (based on £7.11 wages), how much am i going to lose?I really can;t cope with working more hours, if i'm forced to work full time i'm going to end up having another breakdown and probably end up back on ESA. Tax credits are the only way can afford to work whilst still staying somehwat stable.

I calculate you will lose around £1200 from your tax credits per year.

Good luck getting your car back. Hopefully once your back payment comes through you'll be able to.0
