I really should be celebrating today. I won a judged holiday Competition with a humorous entry that clearly tickled the Judges fancy. Instead I'm reflecting on the most vile comment I've ever received in all my years Comping. A reply basically said..."Hope the plane crashes and you die screaming you absolute...." (you get the picture)
Comping's supposed to be fun: some you win & some you lose...and yes there's rivalry but this ? I've had a successful year, putting a lot of effort in and winning c. 1 win in every 20 entries. But sometimes, the jealousy and envy out there beggars belief.

Seems to be more and more people cropping up who're like that. It's almost as if they feel it's a given they should win just because they've entered the competition. Don't let it get to you! Anyway, big well done!!! Hope you have a good time! :T

Thanks for all your kind words. I deal with complaints for a living, so have a pretty thick thin. However, think this touched a raw nerve especially as I work for an airline, come from the same town...and have had cause in my line of work to speak at length to actual plane crash survivors.

I just read what ya said, and had a giggle, was dam funny m8. the person who wrote what they did, really can't be from the UK !!... as its banter at the highest

That's a horrible comment to make to you, and I would have been terribly upset if someone had made it to me, I'm really sorry that they did it to you. Congratulations on your win, and have an absolutely fantastic holiday - you've won it fair and square, and you deserve it.
