Recommendations for loud pattern fabric

I wonder if you can help.

I am after a loud and modern pattern fabric for my curtains and I wondered if any of you can recommend some to me.

So far I have come up with this fabric. http://warwick.co.uk/the-collections/print-folio-iii
I like it but I am not sure I really, really love it. I need it to grab me and live with it for many years to come and wondered if you have any of your own inspiration you can offer me.

Thanks

Are you making them yourself? Couldn't you just have a look in some fabric shops and see what you like the look of? Otherwise there are places that will custom make them for you with racks and racks of material to choose from.

We got our curtains from Next and went for this design:

I quite like it but I don't think I'd describe it as either loud or modern - it's nicer than that.:)

If you can afford it Amy Butler's fabric is fashionable and loud.

fabricmills.co.uk have a huge range - actually just google curtain fabric on line and you'll get loads, like the-millshop-online.
Fabricland.co.uk is cheap, cheerful, not always a great range
theremnantroom.co.uk has some fantastic fabric - not that cheap, but discounted from very, very expensive

Can I add, though, that if you have to live with it for years to come, you might prefer to get plain fabric, and jazz up with cushions, hangings etc.

i thought this too - a fabric that is 'modern' now is going to look dated and old-fashioned in a few years

  • Thanks all, I have been round so many fabric shops that my eyes now don't function. So hoping someone might have a favourite fabric of their own and happy to share and recommend.

I am afraid ready made curtains are out as my window is huge, 5 metres wide and high, so an enormous amount of fabric needed.

I am rather in love with this fabric, but at William Morris prices I can't justify it, so looking for another fabric

I love loud prints also, such as this wallpaper http://www.osborneandlittle.com/file.axd?pointerid=d3ee193f361b43738d39169cca907c4e&w=392&w=586
