Needing new school shoes for 1 week

Thanks for the responses. Even if it hasn't given me a difinative solution, it has given me a plan of some ideas to follow, which I;ll start with one by one and eventually hopefully I'll hit along one that works fine for us, before I come to the last of having to pay for a new pair.
Combined with wide feet, it's an issue because there are only certain styles that are suitable. Eg he needs a lace up pair as they offer the most support, so it limits the choices you have, which in turn bumps up the price as a cheap pair from Asda/Tesco don't fit. A week in plimsolls won't be suitable, slip on footwear offers the least support.GoldenShadow wrote: »A large amount of the population have 'flat feet', it isn't usually a major issue. What about cheap black plimsols from Primark? They're about £3 and I'm sure his feet will cope for a week. They're quite roomy so you could rip out the insoles from his other shoes if they are actually correcting his feet issues.0 -

A week in any unsuitable footwear isn't really going to do him any harm.0 -
It's not harm I'm concerned about. It's discomfort.missbiggles1 wrote: »A week in any unsuitable footwear isn't really going to do him any harm.0 -
Could you not say that he got his feet wet and caught a cold so will not be at school for the rest of the term.
You could explain in the sick note that he is sneezing through a hole in his shoe.

Both I think but there always seems to be more online, you can order online and have them delivered to a local store.0
