I didn't go to uni either, I wanted to study law but my father said that as a girl it was pointless and he always insisted I was not intelligent enough to cope.
That was what he thought of girls, my brothers got help every step of the way, but I was held back.
Incidentally, I have an IQ of 153, and my brothers have grown up with the attitude that I am worthless.
My kids are both brilliant, both feel valued and loved, both come to us with problems even though they have left home.
Oops, sorry, I should not really start on about my family. Needless to say, I would swap my father and my brothers if I could. My mum was different, but she was not permitted to encourage me.
I'm getting off here, gonna do some gardening. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

another who never went to uni , my parents did not allow me to,
or go to college even though all my siblings did, I went to work in the family pet shop when I left school, at 15 even though i had applied to carry on my education, am I bitter, do I feel I missed out
damn right I am I could have had an important job some where making a difference with lots of money, posh house,
instead of stuck here in the middle of no where with a hoard of needy kids and grandkids, mucking out, growing vegetables, and making jam, dont you all feel sorry for me :rotfl::rotfl:
hurrah! A list I'm proud to be on
I left school having not taken any examsthat's the bit that I regret.
I went to college. I have pretty much worked my way through the last 20 years, with the did exception. I still managed to get a lot further than most of those I went to school with. I didn't need uni then and I'm pretty sure i won't need it in the future :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. New Orchard Campaign : finest* Cheese (£3 voucher, min spend £3)
Bit stingy but £3 free cheese not to be sniffed at
Now you would have thought of all people I would have had an invite to that the amount of cheese I buy.
But I am destined to be cheeseless, not a sniff here. :rotfl:0
