Right all caught up now, off to the salt mine again.

I think as the conversation has drifted again we need either a massive glitch to get us back on track

Or as this is Monday and its not likely to happen until the Tuesday/Wednesday change over we need pages of photos of dogs, cats, holiday places and peculiar looking plants or birds that need identifying :rotfl:

sorry none of the above photos but will Blodwen do:D

Good morning and can I just say if some of the late people have nothing nice to say maybe they should say nothing:)

I agree - my dear old Mum always told me that if you haven't got anything nice to say its best to keep your trap shut !

I do however agree with some of the comments about excessive buying and also wonder how people (not necessarily any of the people on here) who exist on benefits due to illhealth etc are able to make quite so many visits to so many supermarkets buying up vast quantities of goods for peanuts and then flog it all to friends or at car boot sales . That all takes considerable physical effort and I do wonder why, if they can do all that, what stops them getting a paid job even if part time. I can think what I like but I wouldn't make a song and dance about it on here.

I don't think it is right or fair to keep banging on - some of it increasingly vicious and unpleasant - and arguing the rights and wrongs of where different people draw the line. It would perhaps be better if FC didn't jump in quite so forcefully with some of her comments but there is absolutely no need at all for some of the really nasty comments that a very few posters have made about her or anyone else. I am disgusted at some of the comments.

Good morning all, not quite sure what has happened to the weather here, was going to get the bedding out to dry today but might as well put it out to wash :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It really does annoy me when someone elects to live life on benefits, managing to finance large screen tvs and expensive holidays, I am delighted that they are being cut back now. After all, why should someone on benefits -
It is a shame someone tried to rock the boat last night.

that were originally designed to help those that couldn't pay for food let alone little luxuries like clothes - have a greater income than someone that actually goes out to work? From what I understand the labour party likes to have people stuck on benefits because it removes all aspiration and people tend to vote for where their income comes from, that is why the state employment tends to grow under labour.

It really is about time the benefits culture was sorted out, if only to stop people risking their lives trying to get here from overseas to live a life of luxury without lifting a finger.

I suspect I might need to go and hide now, but I have an extremely thick skin and have been known to tell people exactly what I think of them.

There was a large woman dressed in designer clothes and trainers chain smoking outside school a few years ago. She was complaining that the council did not give her enough money to buy more uniform because her kids had wrecked the uniform they had. I mentioned that if she stopped smoking she might be able to afford it herself. You should have heard the language (and there was plenty of kids around to hear it).

If I was in power people receiving benefits would not be allowed to smoke and would only be able to drink a very small amount. We should not pay for them to smoke and get drunk.

Didn't mean this to be an essay, but it is something I feel strongly about, the benefits culture costs this country way too much.

A fair bit of sense there - but I hope you are wearing full body armour because, judging by some of the posts recently (mostly by people that I've never heard of before !) you will find the Wrath of Khan is now unleashed on you !
