Forms of Identification
Even within the passport-free Schengen Area, it's a good idea to carry your passport or other nationally issued ID card. You don't need to show ID at the border, but you may be asked to prove your identity if stopped by the police, or if you are boarding a plane. For border crossings outside the Schengen Area – or for proving your identity within this area -- the only acceptable forms of ID are those issued by national authorities. Identification you may use within your home country – for example, a driving license, bank card or tax card – is unlikely to be accepted in another European country.
i know this dont help as you are obviously going by plane:rotfl:
just thought id throw it in the mix
To be honest I wouldn't either. I have colleagues in the past run into all sorts of trouble travelling without passports to places such as NI and the Isle of Man because they took 'other' forms of acceptable ID with them.
Generally I think airports expect passports regardless of the rules. I expect even more so with children.
Oh the fun the photograph will be:rotfl: He is a child whos toothy grin is unleashed the minute a camera is in sight. He has no control over it, it just happens :rotfl::rotfl: that may be part of the reason I put renewing the passport off

Yep;), and the Schengen agreement only comes into play when travelling from one Schengen country to another. FC and family would be travelling from the UK, therefore need valid passports.

I have become a friend granny twice over this week, one boy and one girl... loving it! x
A friend granny, so where you are from, were you brought up to call good friends of your family, Auntie and Uncle, or is it just a North East thing??“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I should mention that people here associate me with winning the quiz, but Eightieschick has won the monthly title 7 times to my 4 in the past year:T:T.
She never seems to get the credit!

zippydooda wrote: »when i done a cc and returned item in store, it was done properly, by inputting my order details. so if you have already refused them, would this not cause problems on refund.
Only CC stuff I've returned to Asda in-store was a substitute that I had accepted at the time, later at CS they crossed out the item on the CC paperwork and refunded to my card (which was the payment card but I guess it didn't technically have to be).
I don't think they put any order details into the system at the time, but maybe it's changed or store/sa dependent ?
If they did enter order details then I too would expect to have a very bad day if items had already been refused at collection/delivery!#CHEEKY :cool:0
