I didn't even realise it was a book.
Agree tv/film often don't do true justice to books.0 -

If it happens again just add an expensive item or two that you don't want in addition to the items you do want, add your vouchers, remove the extra items and your vouchers will stay on your order.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

I am sad to read in the budget that maintenance grants to students are being cut completely. Our family has been very grateful for these for my eldest two. And if all goes well DD2 will certainly be paying a lot more taxes back into the system.
I do think this is a real shame for those high achievers from low income families. DD2 has still had to take out the full maintenance loan as well as getting the grant. And will be considerably "in debt" although not as much as those that started uni 2012 onwards.
I am lucky to now be in the position to support my DD but others won't be.
I know the chancellor and some may say it is unaffordable but this is all of our futures to think about with prospective good doctors, dentists, nurses, teachers etc. that may be put off applying.
Not often I rant and I am sure others will have a different perspective than mine.0 -

If anyone deserves to start a thread, it's DeeDee!:T:T Many thanks for that (I only just noticed it:o:o:o:laugh:).
I think the Budget will affect different people differently, depending on their own individual circumstances.
Back from M - not too much to mention from my price investigation from today. Just some cheaper fabric conditioner and some higher-priced "everyday low price" eggs that, it appears, have now been increased in price to £1:eek::eek:.
The M mixed weight free range eggs were 79p "everyday low price". It seems they are now "everyday low price £1"! Clearly they have not been £1 every day of the week yet, as they may only have been that today so far, or today and yesterday. It seems they can do what they like, put whatever price they like and claim it to be an "everyday low price". So, apparently a higher "low" price than what it was before. I think the old rule applies: buyer beware.
I'm stopping short of saying that they are £1 in M though - I merely have them as being at that price according to the SEL that I have seen today, but I can never be sure that any SEL is correct:rotfl:. M Free Range Medium Eggs at 85p - but that's too expensive!:eek::rotfl: Mixed Weight 6 eggs thus become an urgent item on the APG, assuming that they have ever been comparing against 79p M price prior to today. However, I also think we have had sooner price updating recently, on the 'new' system, as the Mr Muscle Touch Up compared vs 99p on its first day (still each 99p in M) so may already have ended.
Quite separately, elsewhere, I overheard a member of staff - they should surely know what happens even better than me? - saying, about some product or other, that "it went up to £3.19 for one day" and then back down to [£3] (probably). Perhaps this is Mr M's method, or perhaps not - but it doesn't seem to me that you could "establish" a price by having it at that price for only one day!!
I also have some Quorn "fresh" Sausages as being no longer on their £2.19 everyday low price:(. Instead, according to the SEL;), they are now on a £1.09 "offer" price:D:j:rotfl:. (Still pretty expensive IMO:p for that weight - you can get weighter frozen packs of sausages at other times for less than £1.09.)
It seems we were ripped off on the recent £1.50 offer price on some of the "Premium" Fabric Conditioner. Unfortunately, that made it on the basis of the number of washes making it almost equivalent to the £3 Comfort 85 wash price. The own brand are 42 washes, so £1.50 for that didn't seem too bad. :eek:We should not be paying branded prices on own brand items! I now have one version of the Premium conditioner (Magnolia Pearl) as being £1 (but may be store-specific as my other store has full price on them - seems to vary between £1.75 and £1.80 between stores or my other store today may be "hiding" the cheaper £1 price by still showing £1.75 - I don't think there is anything wrong in being charged a lower price than what is showing). At £1 price, it makes all the other (standard-range) M 42 wash fabric conditioner at £1.50 expensive.
I thought I had it wrong() about the BE Sunshine and Garden Mix bags still being £1, as I must acknowledge I only glanced in that area on Monday as it seemed there was no change. I went back into the store today (with my few 'query' items I had missed) and, unbelievably, the Sunshine Mix and Garden Mix are still £1 so I have it right:D. However, the BE Pastas are now £1.79 with a 10p points offer (so need to look elsewhere to see what prices are on those). That's it - there will be just a few more (not much) but I've not seen them as worthy of mention.
EDIT: Typical that, if there's now a glitch on Ultimate Blends shampoos/conditioners, it's now on the 200/250ml versions that I've been ignoring the prices of in M (was on the 400ml versions last time). I thought last time that it was possible that there could be a glitch to come onto them but then I thought they're only 200ml/250ml:wall:. Oh well, it's already now known what works or doesn't (as at the last post), so I'm not bothering with these "here today, gone tomorrow" glitches on the list:D:(:rotfl:. (I think you can be guaranteed if some items are missing from the M list, they're ones that will be on a glitch:rotfl:.)0 -
