Hello old friend ... in our W tonight Galia melon were reduced to 19p :). Rather than a label, there was a red reduced poster (like they did at Christmas) so reduced item on the till.

The bogof multi kicked in so one free :). If I knew I would have bought 4 not 3.

Worth looking out for SEL reductions as it may be the multi is lurking in the background ;).

Ta for this - quavers multi bag £1.50/£1 in Morrisons - don't know if this would be picked up.

But 2 good ones for the Sada v !!!!!! list, add a walkers pack - not sure which one, has anyone any suggestions?

So there I was - when the 6 pack (300g) Quorn frozen "Low Fat" Sausages went to £1 in M (before they shot back up to £1.99:eek:) and when the LM 6 pack sausages were £1, I was nowadays saying on my list that they were not as good as when the 8 pack frozen Quorn Sausages went to 99p.

    Now:
    Quorn Sausages (10 pack)
    £1 in Iceland.

However, there seems to be some a little sausagey (a bit like something fishy;)) going on - I note these are 375g packs. Yet the 8 pack in M were 336g, which means that 10 at the 8 pack weight should be 420g not 375g. So it seems they are smaller sausages in the 10 pack but, clearly, £1 for them is better than £1 (or even 99p) for the 336g 8 pack. Even though, the £1 for 10 is like having an 8 pack at 300g:( (in other words a six pack) rather than 336g. If these were a six pack, they would nominally weigh only 225g:( whereas they 'should' weigh 300g. Of course I'm not accounting for the weight of packaging within that, as that's not easy to work out. Nonetheless, £1 for 10 sausages, rather than £1 or 99p for 8 or 6, seems somewhat better. However, 89.1p for previous 8 pack (336g) vs M (if that ever worked weeks ago - NB offer is *not* on now) would equate to about 99.44...p for 375g so, on weight, the APG on the 8 pack would have (only just) beaten the straight Iceland price on what looked like a good 10 pack.

For those of you used to getting 6 pack at 90p (10% off in the APG on non-glitching sausages:(), that works out at £1.12 and a half for 375g, so the straight £1, all things being equal, for 336g 10 pack is better than that.

The packs I saw are marked £2 in Iceland but they do scan at £1 (just as well:D:)). They are on "half price", which was, in my store, clearly marked so I expected nothing else. I think all the £1 for 10 sausages (as opposed to 6) shows is how flamin' expensive the supermarkets are (most times)!!

Regarding the LM 'plain' vegetarian sausages (6:() being £1 in M, I've found no evidence of them being that instore btw hence their absence from my list for several weeks - I've had £2 SELs in all of my stores except, last time, I found no pricing on them in either of the stores I checked and, as they 'can't be bothered' and as the 'offer' (if it ever was in the first place) is ending this weekend, I've left them off. I wouldn't bother anyway - at the £1 price for 375g, you should be paying 80p for 300g not 90p net:(:p:D:rotfl:! Really though, there "should" be a glitch on these flippin' things (which there never is:mad:) so that you should not be paying for them at all:D:laugh:.

And, sadly, missed out on Morries price being £1 as that offer finished and it's gone up to £1.49 - I assume these compare to M at £1.49?

Mr Freeze Freeze Pops have been driving me mad (not quite) but you wouldn't have known it - they've been on and off my list - a few weeks ago I couldn't find them at all although they were allegedly still £1 in M according to the online offer info. - they were £1 though and reappeared at £1 instore the following Monday. Then, apparently, although supposed to be on an offer ending on a Sunday, they went up to £1.49 (clear £1.49 and no offer at all showing in my store) two weeks ago on the Wednesday. The following Monday however they were back at £1, but, two days later, back at £1.49 again:mad:. Just seems that they were up to full price and then back at £1 for two days in the middle of an offer that, unfortunately, has now already ended and was originally already going to have ended before now. They were £1 in A - obviously (or perhaps it's unrelated I never know) now wanting to match (rather than be 10% cheaper) the £1.49 price in M, so they follow them and put the price up:mad::mad:! Price matches are not always a good thing! They increase the prices to match as well. In the meantime (or, again, maybe not) it seems that S has gone to £1.25 (an overcharge of at least 25p more than any price I'd consider:rotfl:).
