Jet2 refused my return flight to UK

Please help!
My wife was recently on a hen party in Malaga. She got on the Jet2 flight on Friday early morning, her friends within the group, including her all had a drink or 2 in the airport. My wife had a soft drink (doesn't drink at 6am wisely!)
She did, however buy a small duty free miniature bottle of spirit. During the flight the girls (as a group) were noisy, bearing in mind there were 35 of them. And also a stag do on the same flight!
The majority of the group are 30-45 years old, responsible women in good jobs. Banking, HR, Management etc., and in no way pi$$heads or likely to cause a disturbance.
My wife took the miniature bottle from her bag and placed it on the table in front of her, asking the cabin crew for a can of diet coke to complement her drink. The cabin crew member explained she wasn't able to drink her own alcohol on the flight and explained that she would confiscate it. Bear in mind it was unopened. My wife agreed and was very apologetic. She didn't leave her seat throughout the flight and drank soft drinks only.
a little later the attendant returned with a letter to read which explained she 'may not be able to return home on a Jet2 flight'. She was panicked and wasn't sure of the reason, given she'd not opened or attempted to open the drink.
Anyway, she gave her passport number as requested and was told Jet2 would contact her prior to the return flight... At the end of the flight the Captain came to speak with the group stating they'd been drinking all through the flight from 1litre bottles!!! - however at no time did anybody else see these 'bottles' or approach the group. I know 30 of the group and none are stupid enough to do this, nor hide such bottles in their costumes or pockets etc. They queried this with the pilot calmly and were told to shut up and leave or the police would be called!!
They left the plane and carried on with their holidays. None of the group were threatened with no return flight despite the allegations of alcohol drinking on board!
My wife was declined travel and so came back with a rival airline, the rest of the group came back with Jet2 only after they read and signed an agreement they'd not be rowdy, noisy or drink on board!
The questions I ask is:
Why did Jet2 take a block booking on 35girls if they don't want noise!
Why were the cabin crew able to allege the alcohol drinking took place without any formal evidence
Why was my wife the only one (drinking soft drinks!) who was refused return travel
I've e-mailed Jet2 but no reply,
anybody else had this type of problem?
Regards,
Steve

Read what they did to Mr Huzar and his family and count yourself lucky and don't fly them again.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Well, send them a proper letter (snail mail) rather than email if you want a reply. I suggest that you invoice them for the cost of the alternative flight.0

thanks Voyager. I have requested a copy of the report which the cabin crew supposedly provided to a manager to make the final decision. That will be strongly contested and I'd happily take it to court.
Think I've gotta chance, against Jet3 though?

I think you would have to talk to a lawyer to determine whether you have a chance of winning in court. So I don't suggest that you issue proceedings just yet: only do the easy stuff.
Incidentally, I don't think that they were 'asking for noise' by accepting a booking from a group of 35 women. They were right to signal that they could not accept a high level of noise and disturbance; right to prevent the consumption of alcohol that they had not supplied; but wrong to bar a passenger from using one of their flights when that passenger (your wife) had complied with all requests and instructions from the crew.0 -
There's 2 sides to every story
These budget airlines are used to boisterous people on flights , think you have to go some to push the flight crews buttonsEx forum ambassador

My first thought is how is this one litre of booze meant to have gotten on the flight? You cannot carry more than 100ml of liquids onto a flight and if it was purchased within duty free it would be in a sealed bag.
I would again suggest that you write a polite letter to the company in the first place possibly asking for a report of the alleged incident (one would assume the company would have some form of formal records considering they are denying boarding to one passenger and making others sign a form) and then when you have the details seek some form of legal advice.

Jet2 are at the forefront of a campaign to be harder on rowdy passengers, one has recently been presented with a £5,000 bill due to a divert.
How this fits with airports selling booze 24/7 and Jet2 accepting bookings for large groups and selling alcohol on board will be something they have to overcome.
OP strong letter of complaint as a starter.0 -

If this is really the case, perhaps not a good idea to refer to them as girls.0 -
Given that you are recounting an incident that you didn't witness I think I'd also like to see the cabin crew report then make my own mind up as to whose account I find to be most accurate and believable. As has been mentioned I cannot see any particular reason why the crew would deliberately lie about the situation, especially as the early flight would just be the start of a long day for them and they will be well used to dealing with just the sort of customers you have described.0

So several of the group were rowdy -and drinking out of litre bottles of duty free (that they were convinced the cabin crew hadn't seen them drink from) but only your wife who was quiet and calm amongst the party "girls" was refused boarding due to to her behaviour on the outward flight?
I'm not convinced you are getting an unbiased story here TBH and when it comes to hen and stag groups it's often the older ones who cause the most problems as they simply won't take any notice of the (often younger) flight attendants.
(I love that they were loud and drinking spirits from litre bottles but in no way rowdy or p1ssheads though
