Morning

I know I say this everytime, but I really must try and post more often.
Money is still tight thanks to HMRC not giving me my tax refund yet. I'd love to know their definition of 'a few days', because this is the 7th working day (10th actual day) after receiving the letter, and still nothing has materialised in my bank account .
I was supposed to meet a friend for lunch today, but I've made an excuse and cancelled due to lack of funds. OH and I are off to the cinema tonight to see Trainwreck (freebie tickets). I get my DLA tomorrow, but £30 of that will be swallowed up by petrol I had to put in yesterday. Thank god OH gets paid on Friday.
I will make a start on clearing those council tax arrears from Friday onwards. I've got 4 weeks to do it. £200 will be paid on Friday and then it's just a case of making payments everyday to get it as far down as possible before the next payment is due at the end of August (28th). Hopefully that will be the last payment.

My tax refund finally appeared on Tuesday afternoon. I've therefore purchased a couple of toys for my nephew's birthday and will get him some clothes from M&S today/tomorrow as I've got another 10% off on top of my staff discount. Will also get some paper and a card from there and he's all done for another year.
We didn't see the movie on Tuesday. Reason being that it's next week and not this week . Luckily I double checked before we got to the cinema - would have looked like a right idiot otherwise.
My challenge to clear those pesky council tax arrears starts tomorrow. I'll have another £20 to put towards them on Saturday courtesy of the free game on JPJ. I'm going to try and clear £100 a week (not including the £200 payment due to go out tomorrow).
Just ordered some new Olay cream from Amazon for £8.99 (used my vouchers) and I got some Pets at Home vouchers through this morning, so will make good use of them on Saturday and get the degus some supplies (one is £3 off a £20 spend).

I hope everything's well with you on this lovely sunny morning:beer:.
Not seen any postings from you for ages, was beginning to get a bit concerned:( but decided you must have been too busy working, earning money and debt-busting;)0 -
So, things aren't going too well money-wise. OH is trying to sell his car and had someone come to buy it yesterday (all the way from Cardiff), but he decided he didn't want it. Tried the 'flash the cash' technique to get OH to offer him a better price, but he was having none of it.
So now OH is spending money to get it up to scratch to put on eBay. This other guy was buying it without an MOT, so he needs to get that done.
I'm so fed up with being skint. We seem to get a bit of money and then something crops up. I get paid Monday, but it's pretty much all spoken for already.
Therefore, I'm on a mission to earn some extra cash. So far, my money-making activities include:- Overtime today - around £41 extra
- Overtime next week - around £25 extra
- Textbroker article - will probably only get around £4 for it, but will try and get more over the weekend
- Mystery Shopping - 10 jobs over the next couple of weeks - £106 extra
- Online mystery shopping - £25 payable on there and £26.50 worth of work to do - £51.50 extra
Better get cracking. I start work at 11am and have got to get that article written and do my meds before then.

I'm sorry OH had problems with his car sale:(
I hate selling anything major when people have to come to the house and buy it. It's really rural here and by the time people have driven miles and found the place they always 'try it on' by making out they've gone to so much trouble and expense to get here that they deserve getting whatever I'm selling at a really stupid knockdown price:mad:. They practically suggest I should accept what they're offering because they're my last hope and no one else will bother to come out here to buy it:rotfl:. Skint though I am and pretty desperate for the money I'm not that desperate. Well done to your fiance for standing his ground:beer:0 -
Overtime completed. I wrote another article and have another lined up, so that's about £8 worth of articles at the moment. Got another MS job which is just an email, so will get £2.50 for that.
Grand total so far - around £234.
Goals for the weekend:- Complete MS job on Saturday
- Complete £2.50 email job
- Complete all outstanding online MS jobs
- Get TB account up to £20
