Is the 0300 number to ring the tax office free?

I cannot complete the marriage allowance form online and it is asking me to phone the office. I am with virgin and it is 9p a minute. Does anybody know whether it is free with sky talk. I do not mind paying but I know there will be a long queue. Any suggestions, anybody, pl? Thanks

    Hi

Don't know about landlines but any 03 number is free from mobiles, well not free but included in your allowance.

I am with virgin. Hope that helps? I have called 0300 and 0345 numbers and they have always been included in my 1000 minutes.

If you have landline numbers included in your landline phone tariff, then call THIS number:

    028-9053-8192

Some landline phone plans include unlimited landline calls but have stopped 0845, 0345 and 0300 numbers from being free.

Even if you don't have a tariff, the number starting with 028 should still be cheaper than the 0300 number. The 0300 number is not free. It's 9p a minute I think.

According to OfCom - if 01 and 02 numbers are included then 03 must be as well. http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/telephone/03number

Can you link to a provider who has included 01 and 02 but not 03 numbers?

All mobiles include 03 numbers as part of the package now, it is included in your allowance. I think everyone including gods dog seems to have a mobile now and not many of us use a landline?

Landlines were good for 0800 numbers, even these are now free from my mobile provider as of 1st July this year.

Calls to 03 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number and must count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls.
These rules apply to calls from any type of line including mobile, BT, other fixed line or payphone.
Revenue sharing – where the dialled party can receive a share of what the consumer pays to make a call – is also not allowed on calls to 03 numbers.

That number is coming up as tax credits?. They would not be able to help OP claim marriage allowance.
