Benefit cuts timetable

Most changes tend to be for new claimants. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0

So those of us already claiming wtc/ctc should not lose too much?0
-
I'm worried.
I can only work 22 hours per week @ £6.95 p/h, due to a medical conditon and get £69 p/w WTC due to originally getting the job 2 years ago after coming off of ESA, so have the disability element.
I get no housing benefit or council tax credit.
Losing that £69 would be a disaster.
Trying to work out if this budget affects me much?
With the Working Tax Credits changes, I don't think it changes for me. The limit is still higher than what I get per year in Tax Credits £69 x 52 = under £3600. No children but a disability.
Sunday trading laws may mean I get offered a couple more hours work though.
Trying to read it all but it's not being able to see the wood for the trees at the moment...0 -
Wait a min, the Ben cap is only for non workers? Those working have not got that cap?0
-
Anyone know when the new benefits cap will be imposed?0

I understand that people in the ESA Support group are exempt from the latest cuts, but a friend is concerned because, while she's in the Support group, she is on contribution-based ESA. There was previously talk of scrapping it, and we can't find any mention of it in the budget/associated press coverage.
The other thing she wants to know is whether DLA/PIP will be taxed as a result of today's changes. My impression is not, but I'm guessing based on it not having been stated specifically, and god knows, I'm not the best at interpreting everything they're saying... anyone able to clarify?0 -
• Working benefits will be stripped from those who are not disabled and have no children, and will be withdrawn at a faster pace as a claimant's earnings rise
-
I'm guessing that means they'll be doing everything possible to change me from having a disability to someone who can 'lead a normal life despite ongoing health issues'.0 -

My understanding is that no disability benefits will be taxed or means tested.
Look at this link below for 'Disability benefits will not be taxed or means-tested while state pension triple lock to be protected'
