Presumably, instead of having "Volvo" printed on the back, it's got "Verbatim DVD-R" or similar!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Paypal item not as described dispute.
Report to Trading Standards, they have a general online enquiry line and then investigate at seller's local level..0 -
Does it work?0

It didn't work and it had a near perfect silk screen type of label on it.When you turned it to the light you can see Verbatim 8.5GB Dual Layer written on it.
Anyway had a result after threatening to report him, which i had every intention to,he gave me a full refund through paypal. This has got a temory hold on it for some reason.
Here is what it says :-Temporary Hold Information: This temporary hold was placed because your Direct Debit or Bank Funding payment was denied, cancelled, or refunded. The funds from this payment cannot be released until they have arrived from your bank account, which usually takes 7-9 working days.
What does the message actually mean?
Thanks all0 -
This means the initial payment from you has not yet cleared - it cannot be refunded until Paypal have had the funds through to refund them with. Basically - he sent you without you having had a cleared payment anyway. It says there that it has been sent by bank funding or DD which is like a Bank Transfer and takes more time to clear - only card payments are instant. If you was not aware of this then you need to log into your Paypa account and check your payments are set as default to your card and not your verified bank account. It's easy to miss but ot means all your payments will take a long time to clear and that is why it takes a while to send the goods. Seller obviously did not realise this being a newbie!!
He knows he is in the wrong though as he refunded you right away. All he has lostis the money for the !!!!!!. That means he would have made a whopping £55+ for selling a pirated disc. Disgraceful!0 -
Glad i got the result that i was hoping for.
Changing the subject slightly now.I am on my paypal account and looked through all the options i can see but cannot find out how to change so it comes of my card not from my bank.
Where about is that option.

Well, you told him you would report him if he didn't refund. He refunded you believing that would stop you reporting him.
What's his incentive to stop selling bootlegs? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Out of all the fakes Ive seen on ebay this one goes out of his way to look genuine.
Most fake sellers wont list part numbers etc and he must be especially stupid to give that much information about it.
I wonder if Pirate Sat Nav's lead you to the treasure though!??0 -

Or especially clever. Particularly listing them as used and varying the starting prices.0
