I have a Win 10 laptop with Office 2013 installed and keep on getting LYNC/SKYPE pop up asking me to logon....
I have tried to uninstall Lync - using Add/Remove Progs - but Office does not contain this app !!
How do I remove Lync from my laptop - permanently ?
I previously disabled it - in Win 8.1 on the same laptop - But, now, some 5 months after upgrading to Win 10 - it is showing its ugly face again - WHY ?
I have tried REVO - but that didn't even see it !!
I tried the zipped SKYPE disable utility on http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Completely-Uninstall-Skype-For-Business/td-p/3961381 - but that failed to do anything !!0 -

Skype is a pain in the **** to get rid of. I uninstalled it but it never seemed to go away.
In the end I resorted to regedit, searched for skype, and deleted all mentions of it.
It's a bit like Japanese knotweed - it regrows if any fragment remains.0 -
Windows is becoming less of an operating system and more of a store front end these days.

Has MS released an update that may have done this - since I managed to get rid of it on the previous OS (Win 8.1) and it stayed away when I updated to Win 10 - but only recently has it reappeared...0
