How can they put you in the "wrong" hotel?

They didn't they put her in the wrong block.

The hotel has three blocks - two used by the OP's tour operator - the third used by another tour operator - but all the same hotel sharing the same facilities.

A little update, they've now accepted responsibility (after sending us an internal email enquiring to the on site staff stating we flew with Jet2 - we didnt), and have informed us the prams in holding at the hotel. They've said if we arrange a courier they will reimburse us.

I've got a quote from UPS for around 350USD and am unable and unwilling to pay that. Would small claims court be the best bet?

Small claims court for what though? They have said they will cover costs of getting you it back, court would accept that as reasonable I think

that cost seems excessive though, you could get a return flight and pick it up yourself for less. try a few others

I would gladly go and pick it up for that amount: more than enough for a flight!

How much is the pram actually worth? If it's less than $350 ask if they'll just let you buy a replacement instead.

It's literally worth about £70, which is why I don't understand their unwillingness to accept she was in the wrong or even give it as good will. I'm at the point where I don't care about the pram and more the principle.

I meant small claims to claim for cost of replacement rather than postage. I'm sure them saying to arrange a courier is in the hope I will give up on it

You could be a bit cheeky and say yes you'll pay the courier but have to charge them for your time in arranging this and for any additional expenses incurred e.g. Phone calls, time off work to wait for the delivery. Alternatively as the item is worth £70, you would accept payment of said amount directly.

They may call your bluff though...

My vote for the best recent headline though.

My vote for the best recent headline though.

I can see this story appearing in the Daily Mail next week.:rotfl:

Obviously there would be a need to add more dramatic and sensationalised lines to this non-story.
