We are planning a visit in September, would like to stay at one of the Disney hotels for 2 nights / 3 days in the park, and travel there by EuroStar from London. We are a family of 4 (all over 18).

The only offer for Sept at present - is to get 2 extra nights, (4 nights/ 5 days) which is too long in the park for us. Is there likely to be any different offers over the summer?

Looking at Eurostar offers, we can find returns from London to DLP for £70 in June & July, but its much more expensive in September. Any chance there be any other Eurostar offers nearer the time?

    thanks in advance!

you might get a 30% off for a 2-night stay (the best offers from DLP on the UK site tend to be for 3 night stays or more). Check maybe the French version of the site, they might have a better % discount offer which could suit you better. Its perfectly fine to book using any country's site, just inform your bank beforehand as its seen as a foreign transaction, and don't change the country on your booking information, leave it at France(or whichever country you find the best deal on).

Eurostar will have the indirect fare to DLP (via Lille) for September around 12 weeks before travel. Book it as soon as you see it, as it will only get more expensive the longer you leave it.

    Thank you.

I can see a Eurostar journey for £45 from DLP -> London but outward journeys are >£100 for the dates we are looking for. Is it worthwhile booking the DLP -> London part now, or are there likely to be cheaper options?

We'd like to come back directly from DLP. We have more flexibility on London -> DLP, and could travel a day early and stay somewhere else locally, so not to bothered about outward journey at present. Or are we better to wait and book both together?

    Thanks again in advance!

you can book one leg of the journey at a time if you like, it won't make much difference to the final price you pay, compared to booking the whole thing when the indirect fares become available :).
  • I am a Disney-newbie and would like to take my family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids 9,6 and 4) to Disneyland for a day in mid-late August this year as part of a tour of various place in France.

As cost is a bit of an issue, we were hoping to rent a mobile home for 2 nights (we've seen La Village Parisien, but note it is a 45 minute drive according to some forums).

The plan is to drive from Burgundy [where we're staying the day before], check into the campsite and visit DLP the next day as soon as it opens to the general public (10am, I believe). Try and experience as much of the park as possible, get back to the mobile home, sleep Mickey-related dreams and then drive back to the UK.

My questions to my MoneySavingExpert chums is:
    - Does anybody know of any cheapish campsites etc near to DLP that offer mobile home hire per night?
    - I'm seeing day tickets for £47 for adults and £41 for children. Is this about right?
    - Is parking at DLP free?
    - What time does DLP close to day visitors? Do you still get to see the parade, possible fireworks, etc?
    - Is food as expensive on the parks as I've heard it can be. Can you purchase / take in any of your own?
    - Are there any hidden costs [other than buying food / souvenirs]?
    - As we're there just for a day, what are the must-sees?

Apologies for these questions, as clearly there are some real experts in DLP. I told you I was a Disney-newbie! Any help would be very much appreciated. We're planning a fantastic trip to some beautiful parts of France and a visit to DLP would be the icing on the cake for the children [and adults!]

yes - you might be able to get cheaper tickets later on though, there are regular sales on them from the likes of the French version of the official DLP site, or fnac, or billet malin etc etc.
    -
    Is parking at DLP free?
no, its expensive too - 15 euros per day at the DLP car park, 8 euros per day at the Village car park (next door to the DLP parks)
    -
What time does DLP close to day visitors? Do you still get to see the parade, possible fireworks, etc?
yes day visitors can stay as long as everyone else, so in August that will be around 11.30pm, after Dreams fireworks/castle show at 11pm.
    -

yes you can take in your own food - just nothing in glass bottles, or knives, anything like that.

I can't help with campsites around DLP I'm afraid. if you've only got one day for DLP in August I'd stick to the main park, its the most atmospheric of the 2. Fastpass every ride you can in the bulk of the park day, especially Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pans flight, and Buzz Lightyear lazer blast. Your children will probably love all the rides in Fantasyland, which gets very very busy in the main part of the day, so head straight there at 10am (you'll actually get into the park at 9.30am and onto Main St usa then) and when Fantasyland gets too busy go look at the other lands, then come back to Fantasyland after the main parade has passed at 7pm.

Don't miss the main Magic on Parade, its fabulous. A good place to watch it is where it starts, in Fantasyland near the Pizzeria Bella Notte restaurant or anywhere near there down to the turrets at the entrance to Fantasyland. Lots of waves from Princesses and the major Disney characters - loads of fun :).

If you need to chill out during the day, get away from the crowds and heat, Videopolis is a great place to do this. Its in Discoveryland in the main park, its a counter service restaurant at one side, but there are benches in front of the stage which can be used by anyone, you don't have to be a customer of the restaurant. Its cool in summer, warm in winter, and they often have classic cartoons showing on the big screens there. You might find a musical or dance group playing there on the stage too.
  • Thank you balletshoes. You really are a mine of information on DLP.

  • Sorry to ask a question that's already been asked, but I just can't find the answer, and have been looking all evening. Sorry again. But trying to book our holiday in May to Disneyland Paris. If I use this website ce-multiavantages do I pay 20 euros, and then register my details, and then I can buy the annual passes? Will they then email me a temporary pass? Or mail it? Will they mail it to the UK? Looking to get the extra magic hours, so I'm thinking for our group of 3 adults and 1 child for 4 days, this would work out cheapest. Thanks for any help in advance, I am so confused!

  • Ballet shoes thanks very much. Still struggling to get the child's ticket for 35 euros.. it won't add to basket.. does that mean it's not available?
