Thanks.
yes you can, except at the stalls and booths dotted around (popcorn stands, drinks stands, crepes, ice cream etc) you need cash for those.
If you're intending using your card mostly, and you're staying onsite, you can register your card at check-in at your hotel, then use your easypass to charge everything to your room. The hotel will then apply the charge to your bank/credit card company when the amount reaches around 300 euros (the reception staff will give you the exact details). It means you only get the transaction fee once every 300 euros, not every time you use the card.0 -
balletshoes wrote: »pretty much gate price - you've left it too late to get any good price deals (its usually at least 5 days in advance, and usually midweek, for the best prices).
We can get the 20th Anniversary Ticket:
"The 20th Anniversary* Ticket is valid :
1 day within a 6 month period from 1 day after purchase
- The 20th Anniversary* Ticket is valid for 1 day in the 2 Disney® Parks at Disneyland® Paris
"
So valid from tomorrow.
A little cheaper than gate price.0 -
Thinking of doing Disneyland Paris this August for about 4 days.
Ferry and drive with a 4 and 9year old.
Just wondering if it's easy and cheapest to book direct or go through an agent? How do you get the best deals?
Thanks!0 -
there is a huge Disneyland Paris thread here -
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/527819
if you read the last 5 or 6 pages on the thread, you'll get some ideas, then if there are any specific questions you have, post on there and I'm sure you'll get some advice.

I got most my money saving tips from forums such as DIS and DLRP.
Iv been 3 times and would never use an agent, with enough research you can save money.
However, August deals are hard to come by and very pricy. 5 of us travelled in June 2011 for £1000 in August 2012 it cost £2500! Was it justified? No, the parks were overcrowded and the weather got too hot for us to be bothered walking around.
I can thoroughly recommend the Explorers Hotel, Id just recovered from an operation and emailed the hotel asking if they could provide any 'extra magic' and I couldn't believe my luck when they upgraded us for free to a 2 bedroom suite with dressing area, 2 bathrooms and a lounge!
Their pool is great too, probably the best of all the hotels.
If you are going for 3+ days consider and annual pass CE Multiadvantages (something along those lines) is usually around the cheapest and they usually do a free child (under 7) annual pass for each adult. You also save money on food etc. The DIS foum will explain all if you post a thread, they are a very friendly bunch!
Food wise, I can recommend Billy Bobs buffet and Annettes Diner - both places have great food, reasonable prices and a kid friendly atmosphere. Rainforest Caf! is amazing as a treat though very pricy.
Snack wise the Mexican in the park is great value and the earl of sandwich in the Disney Village.

Thank you again for your reply. I have been looking on both on promoparcs and cemultiavantage not only has the price gone up but the free child pass also seems to have dissappeared. does anybody know of any other site that sell the annual passes that i can use. if not then hopefully if i hold out til the end of april they might have them on special again. Does anybody know how long it takes for the passes to get posted out to you?
just to let you know, as of now cemultiavantages have their child's pass offers back. Its slightly different in that you have to pay 35 euros for the child's pass now, but its valid for children aged up to 11 (the previous offer for only for children aged up to 6). cemultiavantages fantasy annual pass price is still 125 euros per adult.

in August the onsite hotels will be very expensive.
buy 2 adult Fantasy annual passes at 125 euros each from cemultiavantages, and get 2 kids ones for 35 euros each (there are no blockout dates in August so the Fantasy passes will get you into the parks every day and also give you Extra Magic hours, no matter where you are staying).

Check DLRPMagic for their brilliant information on annual pass discounts and advantages.

if you are driving and have Tesco clubcard vouchers you can use them to pay for your Eurotunnel fare.
as for accommodation - there is tonnes to choose from near DLP. The areas of val d'europe and bussy st george are only 10-15 minutes drive from DLP, and there is a wide range of hotels and apartments to choose from, from budget to luxury. Have a look at travelrepublic/Expedia/alpharooms etc for the Disneyland Paris area.0 -
Id also add, dont be scared of the Val deEurope ones due to the train/bus etc - it is literally 5 minutes away and the staff in the stations seem very friendl. They helped us buy our train tickets. We always do a trip to Val de Europe anyway for wine/sandwiches/snacks and a wander round the shopping centre. Its a nice break from the parks sometimes!
Thanks balletshoes for the new info RE ceadvantages! Iv avoided Disney forums since we had to cancel our NYE trip and DH said no more Disney trips till he'd seen more of Europe! I feel like Disney is my home:-(Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
