Can anyone recommend good travel insurance to cover if Eurostar doesn't run due to snow? Thanks

Am a first time poster and a newbie at the forum, so please bear with me!!

I've been trawling through the threads all evening. I want to book DLP and the Studios for next March. I have accommodation so just need park tickets. I Can see the french site CE Multiavantages offers fantasy passes for 119 euros for 1 adult and child up to age 7. My girls will be 3 and 6 in March so can I really get away with buying two adult passes to be covered for 320 days a year??

Also how easy/difficult/time consuming is sorting the passes into annual passes at the park? - i know my two girls (and me) on their first visit ever to anywhere Disney will be difficult to contain!!!:j:j:j:j

yes this is a perfectly legitimate offer, a longstanding one with either cemultiavantages or prompoparcs. It typically takes around 15 minutes per pass to get your permanent ones at the AP office in the park, so take some snacks etc with you when you go to the office (theres a little waiting area with a TV and sofas etc you can use while you wait).
  • If you are going to Disneyland Paris, I would recommend checking out travel empire (just click the Disneyland banner on the homepage).
Not only did they find a brilliant deal the expert staff told us how to beat the queues which was a real boost to our weekend leaving more time for fun rather than standing in a queue!

I couldn't find any "tips" on that page... just an online travel agent.

I have bought a book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guide-DisneyLand-Paris-Simon-Veness/dp/057203914X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1341348568&sr=1-1 This is an excellent read. And will (hopefully) prove to be invaluable when I take my two DS in October. Esp the fact that FAST PASSES are free :j

As I understand it there are 2 parks. Disneyland park and walt Disney studios. I wanted to know what could realistically be done in one day, I don’t mind not going on everything I have mentioned as we will be visiting another time. I will be getting a fast pass as my little one has autismso hopefully this will cut down the waiting time.
I know he won’t want to do most things children his age will, he is 4 but I have made a draft itinery of some of the attractions we could visit. I have a few questions though for those that have been especially those with children who have asd.

    Disneyland Park

    It’s a small world

    Captain Hook - Pirate ship

    Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing

Disneyland Railroad - Main Street Station

    Horse-Drawn Streetcars

    Main Street Vehicles

Le Carrousel de Lancelot – is this very fast do you know? My little one probably won’t mind if it isn’t and we can go on with him

Casey Jr. - le Petit Train du Cirque – my little one would love this he likes trains

Dumbo the Flying Elephant – it looks quite fast on the you tube videos

Animagique – I looked at this on You tube, is it always that dark? My little one has issues with the dark sometimes

    Cars Race Rally

    And obviously the street parade

Is Toy Story land in Disneyland park or walt Disney studios? Are they far away from each other?

    Walt Disney studios

    Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!

no its not fast, and there are carriages you can sit in as well as horses to sit on.

when are you going? If you have a long day (ie summer days, from 10am to 11pm) then you might be able, with your son's access pass, to do most of those things in one long day.

Thank you balletshoes. What park would you suggest we start at first? the parade would be the last thing we do so which ever park that is in probably would make sense.

If we see any characters walking around can we just ask them for a photograph?

Oh we are going in the first week in august mid week staying two nights. We will probably just explore paris on the first day maybe the aquarium and the shopping centre and the last day I am not sure what we will get up to yet.

at least one of the ticket booths will be open from 8am for you to change your sky tickets for park tickets. But you won't get into either park until around 9.30am, when they open the turnstiles to the general public.

you'll need to sort out your access card first thing at either park. There is a parade in the main park at 7pm, and to be honest if you can all manage it, the main park will actually be quieter after the parade has finished, so personally I'd stay and do the fantasyland rides and the thunder mesa riverboats then.
So probably I'd start the day in the main park (to do the Main st vehicles as they are often only running in the morning) and then go to the Studios, then come back to the main park for the rest of the day.

There may be characters roaming, but they will be quickly surrounded and you don't want to get involved in the scrum that follows! There are lots of scheduled meet n greets though in both parks, and your son's access card should help him meet his favourites and get a cuddle/autograph/photo without having to wait too long.

The summer season park programme will be out after 9th July, so if you print one off from the official DLP site after then, you'll be able to see whats on and at what time, help you plan your day a little.
