I really want to suprise my wife for her birthday in November this year and take her to DLP but the prices on the official website seem so high for just 3 days.
I don't want to drive, and we live in Preston so would probably try to fly from either Manchester or Liverpool. Can anyone recommend the best time to find deals? or the best places to stay hotel wise? On the official website prices seem to be around £600 to £700 which I don't fancy spending - especially as I have seen coach tours for £250 each

    thankyou :)

do you really want to stay onsite in a Disney hotel, or would very close by with a free shuttle bus to the parks every 20 minutes from your hotel do? I stayed offsite with an annual pass in November 2011, for 2 of us it cost in total for 3 nights/4 days, hotel and annual passes, £390. Annual passes mean we can return to DLP as many times as we like and enter the park, so we're going again in June, and maybe again at the end of August. This year we'll only have the hotel to pay for (again, offsite but very nearby).

Easyjet flights for us with car parking etc usually cost around £130 total return, transfers between the airport and DLP typically around £45 return.

Try pricing it all up separately yourself, see if you can find a deal offsite which suits. travelrepublic, expedia, alpharooms etc etc for the hotels at disneyland paris, flights with the airlines themselves, annual passes look at dlrpmagic for information.

For Disney themselves, its too early at the moment to be getting a good deal on a November date onsite - you'd really be wanting a deal of at least 30% off to be coming up (Disney often do flash sales of up to 50% off, but you need to hold your nerve and not book anything until a month or so before you want to go, and your dates/choice of hotel might not be included). Voyage Privee also sometimes do great package prices to the Disneyland Paris hotels, so worth looking out for those too.

no I don't mind staying "on site" - which are the better hotels to look at? Ive checked the Kyriad and that was £170 for 3 nights, didn't think it was too bad and inc continental breakfast.

Only things I can't see to get cheaper is park tickets?

a fantasy annual pass is 149 euros per person. usually buying an adult park ticket for 3 days or more mean the fantasy annual pass works out about the same price, and you get food/souvenir shopping discounts with an annual pass.

I usually look at attractiontix, 365tickets etc for prices for the park tickets, then look at dlrpmagic for the prices and discounts etc for annual passes.

do you mind me asking which kc hotel you booked and how much did it cost? Also can you leave your car there? parking seems so expensive, we are having to take 2cars and it seems to be £36 per night for each car:eek:

Hi we are booked at the premier inn kings cross, I did it on the phone and she was great checking to see if it was cheaper online, or at Euston as thats nearby too, Its expensive about £150 a room, and with 5 of us thats 2 rooms. We are not driving, we catch the train down, stay overnight, train to disney. It cost us £120 for 5 return trip on the train, so not bad and easier, thats with zone 1 tickets,as we get into london at 10.14 on the fist day, and leave london at 4pm on last so a day in london each side.

Where do you find this closure list ?

Also, we are going with our kids (6 and 8) this Feb half term (arriving at the park Monday lunchtime-ish and leaving Wednesday afternoon). The kids have already been for the day before (stayed in the disney park and have already seen the evening parade). Any tips on the how to get the best of out a longer stay ? We are staying offsite (at the Explorers hotel) so, unlike the day trip, there is no need to rush off for the ferry straight after the parade. I see the park 10-7 (main) and 10-6 (animation) during our stay,. For examples, does the Explorer shuttle run for a while after the park shuts ?

hi we are there feb half term doing sunday till friday. we are at the explorer as there are 5 of us, kids 8,6, and 5 lol. Looking forward to it, may see you on the shuttle bus, I will be the stressed one

thanks for that. Am looking at doing the same myself:)
  • We're hoping to take the kids (8 and 10) in July before the schools here close and are a bit baffled by the options and the prices. We don't mind staying off-site but there doesn't seem like there's much in it when you factor in the day passes. We'd like to drive rather than do a coach trip. We're looking for 2 nights/3 days with 2 adults and 2 kids. What's the absolute cheapest way of doing this?

Got back on Saturday after 3 nights at the Santa Fe had a great time.couldn't believe the amount of smoking though. One woman actually tipped her ash on ds - we were livid! Apart from that it was all good though, esp. the weather. I noticed that the relay shops inside the station have different prices eg. bottle of coke was 1.60 in one and 2.20 in the other which is a pretty big difference Also they tried to overcharge us for a coffee we didn't have.

The characters were great ds really believed it bless him and got really good at holding his own in the queue:D plus, we managed to spend relatively little by following all the tips on here so thanks everyone!
  • We are booked to go April 2012. 2 adults and 3 kids 12,7,2!! We booked flights and hotel through Thomas Cook in September 2011. They had an offer on you got discount £40 if you done both at the same time. We are staying in the Dream Castle hotel and flying Easy Jet. Cost £1076. Just need to get the transfers sorted and the park tickets of course.
Any recommendations on where to get park tickets? We would like 2 parks 4 days.

your 2-year old doesn't need a park ticket at all, they get in free.
For the others, for 4 days, lots of sites like 365 tickets, themeparktickets, attractiontix etc etc offer 4days for the price of 3.
Your 7-year old would get a child's price, but your 12-year old would need an adult price ticket. Have a look at the prices etc on some of the ticket sites, then have a look on DLRPmagic for annual passes. Depending on when you are going, there may be annual pass blackout dates, so it might not work out cheaper, but until you have a look, you won't know (fantasy annual passes are 149 euros per person, adult or child). If you have a Dream or Fantasy pass, you get restaurant and souvenir discounts.
