Thanks.
Yes, tickets are included for both parks (unless you book through expedia). You'll get a little card ticket.COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0 -
if you've booked through Disney, you will each get a park hopper ticket when you check in at your hotel. This one ticket each gives you access to both parks as many times per day as you like, for however many days you have booked (so for example if you have booked 2 nights, you will get a 3-day park hopper ticket each, valid for park entry from the day you check in).0

Is the drive to/from Calais Eurotunnel terminal <> DLP easy enough? Looking to book up Eurotunnel for the August Bank holiday weekend - are there any times of day to avoid? Would like to get across on the Friday so we hit the road in France before 10am but not sure what time to comeback on Monday - I was thinking sometime between 7pm and 8pm (French time). Does anyone have any experience of what the traffic is like?
Very easy drive with Cruise Control on!! We found morning traffic neaer to Paris quite slow and heavy, the same as any peak time travel in the UK so avoid those times - we stayed overnight but went from DLP to CDG at 9am and this is when it caught us. Lots of petrol stations along the way too.
We came back through the tunnel on a Bank Holiday, got there at 12.50pm and it took us 60 minutes to get through customs to the train and missed it (so did everyone else), it was rammed. Not sure if this is usual but we will not be trvelling at this time again.
I would personally suggest staying overnight near DLP and just going to DLP in the morning to get a full day of it. You can get Chanteloupe which is quite easy to find for around £60 a night.0 -
Just wondering if anyone could give me a list of the must do rides / shows with our wee boys - ones 3 and the other is turning 2 - they are both the about 84cm tall ( my poor wee toots - they'll be 40 before they can go on the good stuff lol ) - thanks in advance.
We are going to try and get the baloon ride - and also go into paris one day if any tips ? We're there fore 5days.
It honestly depends on what your kids like and what they do not. Some kids like fast rides, some like slow rides. I'd do everything with them, that they can get on.0 -

. All the parades, meet n greets etc go on as normal every day of the year, your little girl will be in heaven! If you have time on your last day (1st October) to make the most of the main park, that is the first day of Halloween season, and is my favourite DLP season. Try to see the special parades and shows they put on especially for Halloween, and wander around Frontierland and Main Street, where those areas will be all decorated and themed for Halloween (fun scary, not scary scary
).
Woo hoo!!! gone and booked 3 nights/4 days at the Newport Bay on the 28th Sept using the 50% off deal. Priced up booking flights and TGV transfer independently as suggested but the difference only came to about £100 so booked transport direct with DLP.
It goes against my MSE instincts but for the sake of £100 my wife will sleep more soundly assured that the whole thing has been done as a package. If it was just me I would have booked it separately but not having been there before she wanted to reduce the chances of something going wrong and dissapointing our daughter if I cocked up a departure time. Just have to make the £100 up in other MSE ways!
Now ... is the travel insurance offered by DLP worth it or should I try the usual online travel insurance suspects?
Can't wait to tell our daughter!:D:D

definitely source your own travel insurance - and tell your daughter to look out all her Princess costumes to take with her0

She doesn't have any costumes yet, that will be more fun to sort out before then!0

I am all Disneyed out by this current sale and everything is turning into a blur! I am planning our first Disney trip and seem to have spent an entire day looking up different options, so could really do with some advice from you MSE experts.
I would be grateful for some advice regarding the best hotel, which website/agent to book through to get the best deal and the best way to travel. Also, is the half board meal option worth doing?
Here's our requirements: 2 adults, two children (aged 4 and 6), we live in Birmingham, we are very restricted on holiday dates (due to my work) either 17th-21st August or October half term. Budget : £700-£800 (is that realistic?)
Many, many thanks for all your help in advance.0 -
JT100 - I would go half term Oct as all the Halloween decs will be out. It will be quieter too, go midweek from Mon- Thurs for the quietest time.
Is half board worth it? Not really IMO, you are limited to where you can eat and you have to book them too and we found it quite restrictive with a lot if places not been open to eat in the evening in the parks. We just cannot walk around on full stomaches, let alone go on the rides!! You'd be better off joining the Shareholder Scheme and getting discount on everything, you only need to buy 5 shares and pay 30 Euros fee (due every 2 years) and you save 10% off meals and merchandise too.
Hotel - depends on what you want from your hotel really and wther you want EMH, there is not a pool in all of the hotels but we never have time to swim when we are there, plus breakfast is a scrum in Hotel Santa Fe and Chyenne, if staying on site then Sequoia Lodge upwards is better.
I cannot see any offers on for either time of year though, sorry. They are all coming up over £1000 and that is without travel.
You could drive and stay in an off site hotel for around £300 and then get tickets when you get there - again, join the shareholders club to save, I think, 20% on ticket prices.0
